Not sure if this will interest anyone but recently joined The Carrick at Loch Lomond through one of these special offers De Vere are offering. You pay £295 for 100 points and use your points to pay for your rounds. Points are:

10 points (weekend and summer mon-fri)
8 points (winter mon-fri)
6 points (twilight)

The twilight time changes depending on time of year (after 2pm now I think) but means you can get 16 rounds on a good course if you play at right time. For referring a friend you get a further 20 points so if anyone is interested would be happy to refer them and get an extra round each. Also, got an e-mail saying I can book a free one hour lesson as a member. Not for everyone but if you can't play every week is good deal in my opinion.

Depends what you're paying and what you expect, they were charging gleneagles type prices before. I think its a great layout and the condition of the course will improve drastically in the coming years.

They have also spent quite alot improving the drainage in the last year I believe.
