I spoke to a guy who managed a Dominoes once, he said nobody anywhere ever should really pay full menu price for a Dominoes Pizza. It's a bit like The Officer's Club pretending they always have a sale on, that 70% off sale has been on since 1994 at least.

Domino's pizzas are ridiculously overpriced. They're not even that good.

The c***s charged me £13 for a medium pizza the other night. Plus, ordered it through their website, to be told by the shop to "not use the website, because its nothing to do with us". Posted Image

I can't stand these pizza places that force people to spend £13 on a medium pizza.

What would your typical order be?

Mine is 1/2 texas bbq 1/2 pepparoni passion. Garlick bread and chicken strippers. 3 x garlic & Herb sauce. £17.99 for large pizza meal deal. Lovely stuff.

How dare you! They are miles better than Pizza Hut but both are certainly over priced. The only time I get a Dominos is on a Tuesday as they're BOGOF.

I prefer Pizza Hut but use Domino's more. Scrummy or the Meteor from Domino's.

I think Gaz was making a good point. No-one forced you to but the said pizza. It's not as if it was some kind of honey trap where they advertise it for £1.99 then when you get to the payment stage they jack it up to £13.

Spot on. You don't pay £13 for a Domino's pizza and then complain about them being c***s for charging you £13 for a Domino's pizza. You made the choice to buy it knowing the price!

The best takeaway pizza I've ever had is from a local Indian takeaway and it's only £5.50 for a 12" pepperoni or £6.00 for a 12" meat feast. Even that's a bit pricey though - I can buy a Goodfellas or Chicago Town pizza from Tesco for a couple of quid.

I think Goodfellas' meat feast are superb. Domino's is not fives times better than the Goodfellas alternative, or how ever many times more expensive it is. I'm not a fan of the Chicago Town microwavable pizzas. Not the taste, it's the fact that I cannot successfully cook them. Always end up either burnt on the edge or uncooked in the middle.

The Goodfellas thin and crispy pepperoni and chorizo pizza is the stuff dreams are made of. It's amazing.

Chicagotown four cheese, tomato stuffed crust pizza. £3 and is absolute perfection.

The best pizzas are homemade, and have as flat a base as possible. Me and the gf buy some flat breads from a world food store, some pizza topping, fresh mozzarella, and shove as many vegetables on it as is humanly possible. Now THAT's a pizza.

I don't think anywhere does.

I've been working in Clydebank for the past three weeks, and my opinion has changed slightly thanks to the lunchtime deals. A two topping personal pizza (or a sub - the nuclear one is the best) and a can for £2.49 is not to be sniffed at. The pizza's pretty tasty. It's filled a hole at lunchtime for sure. The large pizza for £6.99 seems pretty good too.
Still, I don't think it's the best pizza place, and still ranks bottom on my list of four, but it's not as bad as I had it down.
