Boring when loads of individual teams, so try and keep all the league 1 (and now League 2) news in here since not a massive following.

Swindon v Huddersfield today, looking forward to this one. Swindon now 4 games unbeaten after a slow start v top of the league Huddersfield. We always seem to beat these at home but always lose away to them. So heres hoping for 3 points today. We will miss our top scorer Charlie Austin who is still injured for a few more weeks and Simon Ferry also out injured. Paul Caddis will probably carry on playing in central midfield rather then right back.

Prediction

Swindon 2-0 Huddersfield

McGovern to score 1st

18 football fans handed 3-5 year banning orders from every ground in Britain today after trouble before the start of 09/10 season in a pre-season friendly V Cardiff. 10 Swindon fans and 8 Cardiff fans also all given 300 hours each of community service. Know a few of the Swindon involved and think they will be happy with this as a few were fearing going down for it. Made me laugh as when it happended, someone said there was no CCTV working in Swindon that day . Hence trouble being in town centre and on for so long.

http://www.swindonad...ven_match_bans/

EIGHT Cardiff City fans who clashed with Swindon Town supporters in the town centre were banned from football matches for five years in court yesterday.

The hooligans were given football banning orders at Swindon Crown Court for their involvement in a brawl following a friendly game at the County Ground.

Ten Town fans were given bans ranging from three to five years, as well as community work totaling 2,400 hours, after pleading guilty to affray.

The court heard the riot – which took place on the evening of July 25, 2009 – started when a group of City supporters moved into the town centre from a pub near the train station in search of cheaper drinks.

Thugs  :P

Good start to the season by the Blues. Certainly far better than I expected. Zoko has been a great signing and Championship clubs are already sniffing about.

Away to Bournemouth today, and it's fair to say the fixtures haven't been overly kind to begin with.

Excellent away win at Wednesday already though and seconds away from winning at Plymouth.

Home win on most coupons but I'm going for a sneaky Away.

Bournemouth 0 - 1 Carlisle United

You have to be brain dead to be involved in football violence thse days. Lucky lads to only get com service. I chat to a few of our lads but no time for it, just prefer a good few beers (ciders) at football, in saying that driving today :( as saving funds for my all dayer at Dagenham next saturday, love a good session in the capital when watching Swindon.

Carlisle have been doing well, heard there had been a bit of interest in that african fella you have. Pericard has even started to score for Swindon.

My mate went to Carlisle a few weeks ago to watch Swindon. He likes drinking more then me and started drinking at 6am on the train up. He was refused entry to the ground for being to drink . He fell asleep at some petrol station during the game. He got woke up 10mins before the final train home. He paid someone £10 at the petrol station for a lift to the train station which ended up being round the corner. My mate was still happy as he claimed he was £9 up on the deal as was £19 to get in the ground

Excellent performance by Swindon today. Dominated the game and goal in injury time was more then deserved. Buzzing :)

Aye, great result ... saw their score coming through on Soccer Saturday. There's nothing better than that feeling when a last minute winner goes in for your team!

Even more so when you dominate the game and have just about given up hope. On a massive high. If we beat Plymouth on tuesday at home then I will really start to feel we can challenge for the title (I bet £20 on us @ 20/1 to win the league)

I went down on the train to that game as Cowden had a free week due to the international. Carlisle had lots of corners but couldn't score. Swindon should have snatched the game at the end but Charlie Austin missed 2 sitters.

Swindon v Plymouth tomorrow. A tough game for us. But we are now 5 games un-beaten and 4 clean sheets in the process. Still missing the goals of Charlie Austin, hopefully he is back from his shoulder injury soon. COYR!

An excellent game at the county ground tonight, shame about the score. Swindon 2-0 down early on, howler from our keeper Lucas. Then we fight back and make it 2-2 and should have got 4 or 5-2 up. Instead we get done on a counter attack in injury time and Plymouth score the winner :(

We were shit yesterday, despite drinking from 9am, I remember enough to know after scoring in 1st min (which I missed as was talking ) that we done nothing till D&R went 2-1 up. Awful game. Lucky a trip to Soho after the match upped my spirits

Did laugh reading paper this morning that D&R manager said that was the best result in D&R history

My English Team, Colchester United, managed another bloody draw yesterday. Bit frustrated with the number of draws we have, 7 in 10 matches, as turning a couple of them into wins would allow us to put pressure on the teams above us.

In the playoffs at this early stage, so can't be too disappointed, since i'd imagine its the target for this season.

Last unbeaten team left in League 1 too.

Just on the way to Brentford now. Been a difficult start to the season but starting to show some promise. Good result last Saturday against Charlton, and another home game against an inconsistent Oldham today gives us a good chance of getting a wee run going.

Oh well, that's the first defeat of the season. Wish we had turned some of those 7 draws into wins to be more comfortable at the top...

Poor. Started brilliantly by scoring after 4 minutes, had 2 goals chalked off for offside (couldn't tell whether they were or not), then faded badly. Oldham scored in the first 20 seconds of the second half to take the lead, and we never recovered. Watching us hoof balls up to 5ft 7ish Charlie McDonald against their 6ft+ centre halfs was amusing in a painful way.

Bottom of the league and looks like a long season ahead.

Oldham seem to have their own Robbie Savage type in the form of a guy called Chris Taylor. Playacting, diving, moaning...the wee shite scored as well.

Carlisle definately punching above their weight ATM. Beating teams I think they will finish alongside come the end of the season. Somewhere in the middle. The bigger teams they have played against they have lost. Quite happily take mid table and Wembley again though :)

I'd happily see you lot in the final of the JPT. Gave in with the league , Johnstones Paint is the real glory

Swindon in 1/4 finals, home to Brentford, like the draw.

Yeah, not the best draw for us. I'm going to cling to the uninformed idea that teams at the bottom of a league tend to do well in cup competitions.
