Old World Blues is similar to Point Lookout in that you have quite a big area to explore and also has decent-ish story. OWB is quite funny in parts although some of it is pretty immature stuff. OWB is basically a big testing site for some mad scientists. Its as good as Point Lookout and Broken Steel.

Honest Hearts is ok there is not really an equivalent in Fallout 3. It isnt a very long DLC and the area it takes place in isnt very big and it all looks the same.

Dead Money is similar to the alien DLC in Fallout 3, it is very linear and gets boring real fast as you cant step ten yards without stepping into a bear trap or being surrounded by red clouds that drain your health. The actual story is ok but the gameplay doesnt sit very well in Fallout.

So... let me get this straight. You want to fly on a magic carpet to see the king of the potato people and you're telling me your completely sane?

OWB and Lonesome Road are the best by miles.
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.
Die, die, die....I can't

I'll make sure to get Old World Blues when I get round to it then. I enjoyed all of the Fallout 3 DLC for various reasons, although Operation Anchorage was only fun for the shock sword and Chinese stealth armour and Mothership Zeta was only good for some of the decent alien weapons you could get by completing it. Hunting for the captive recordings and steel ingots, was very frustrating and tiresome.

Not even sure why I haven't played New Vegas yet, I got it a month after it came out and I spent countless number of hours playing Fallout 3, just haven't got round to it. Something to look forward to though!

Just started playing this on the 360. Are there any differences between this and Fallout 3, in terms of gameplay, controls etc?

I played a bit of Fallout 3 on the PC and would probably buy it on the 360, but not if NV is a big improvement

Technically, there isn't much between the two titles. NV is a better game for level design and story telling.

I think the freezing problem has been solved, dunno if it'll be the same for 360 but when I was playing it on the PS3 it'd freeze like every half an hour so I chucked it, heard there was a patch a few months later and downloaded it and it barely froze. I would think it would be the same for the 360.

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

It does save going in and out of buildings but you can get a lot of ground covered without coming across a doorway.
it froze on me the last time and i havent played it since. very frustrating game.
