It appears we've signed Scott Findlay on a short term deal as back-up to Scott Fox for next weeks Dunfermline game. He'd only get a game in the event that Foxy was injured or sent off but can anyone tell me a bit about the seemingly former Clyde & East Fife keeper? Cheers in advance.

The only game he started, I missed. Some people thought he had a good game, others thought he was a liability.
In his previous subs appearance he had three shots on his goal and all went in.

I didn't even know he was with us. Take from that what you will.

Im sure he was with Cowdenbeath for a while as well. Didnt get a game. Take from that what you will.
'Terracing celebrations were suitably extreme. Indeed, the Cowdenbath faithful - all 60-odd of them - kept the rest of us entertained during the not infrequent dull moments. They regaled us with everything from "Cooper's a poof" (difficult to substantiate) to "black and white shite", a suitably assonant summary of the quality of their opponents'

He played 1 game for us if I remember right. Can't mind who it was against but I think he was alright.
That was about 6 years ago now in the 3rd Division....take from that what you will.

He was backup keeper at Alloa for a while. Even when Allan Creer was throwing in at least one goal a week Findlay never got a game. When Creer finally picked up an injury Findlay stepped in, had a shocker and was released immediately after the match. Fair play to the guy though, he has managed to contracts all over the place despite being absolutely shite.

Where is Allan Creer now anyway? Last I heard of him he was at Ross County.

He featured in our summer trials last season, and got told where to go. Which is quite scary considering it's John Brown, who had the balls to sign pish like Mark Casey and Adam Coakley!

Creer would make a few great saves for Alloa and look pretty good then all of a sudden he would let in a really soft goal...
Seems to be a bit daft as well on the pitch (which I suppose is a trait that most keepers have)

Seem to remember reading he gave up football for rugby then had part of his thumb sliced off in an work accident. Both of those things happened before he was on trial at Clyde
Creer was brilliant for us for the first 6 months, he was actually key in our great escape from almost certain relegation to the Third. Apparently a few bigger clubs were keeping an eye on him at that stage. Over the following season however his form regressed terribly to the extent that he would sell a goal in almost every game he played, just total comedy errors. We warned the County fans when he went up there and they were saying he can't be that bad, and they were actually impressed by him initially. Then a long unbeaten record came to an end at home (to Ayr I think) and the big man sold 4 or 5 goals

Better off with one of St Johnstone's old card board supporters between the sticks.

Cheers guys, doesn't sound totally inspiring but hopefully he won't have to come on the pitch. Probably would have been better off with Geddes again as he was brilliant against Dunfermline but I suppose that's a chance we weren't willing to take.
Any idea how old Findlay is?
