The season's just around the corner, so I was thinking of starting up a fantasy league on Yahoo sports for the NFL. Who reckons they'd be up for it?

Each year I get more and more into NFL but I cant imagine it is very easy to do a Fantasy team... do you need to select like 50 players??

I would give it a go.

Nah it's really quite straightforward, and you don't pick that big a team. For a start, you don't deal with linemen, or linebackers, or anything like that, you just pick a team's defense - you'll usually have two. The only positions you pick are the quarterback, the wide receivers, the running backs, and the tight ends...I think that's everything.

Have you done one on Yahoo before? It's top drawer, my mate had a team on the ESPN one last year, and it looked a lot better than that.

The nfluk one is way too basic and I'm no expert. I did the Yahoo one a few years back, it's brilliant, I would definitely join.

Remember you need to do a live draft so make it a convenient time like the SUnday before the season starts (if you miss the draft its automatic). Yahoo is more involved but you still don't need to be the kind of guy who can name you the Carolina Panthers third choice cornerback to do well in it.

Highlight of my NFL.com draft this year was some idiot accidently picking the Atlanta Falcons D with the fourth pick in the draft. That was legit lol and allowed me to get AP with pick number 5!!

My NFL.com Fantasy team (which i think should do pretty well) is:-

QB - Tom Brady (NE)

RB - Adrian Peterson (MIN)
RB - Steven Jackson (STL)

WR - Michael Crabtree (SF)
WR - Sidney Rice (MIN)
WR - Hakeem Nicks (NYG)

TE - Tony Gonzalez (ATL)

K - Dan Carpenter (MIA)

DEF - San Diego Chargers

BENCH

QB - Joe Flacco (BAL)
RB - Matt Forte (CHI)
RB - Ricky Williams (MIA)
WR - Terrell Owens (CIN)
WR - Donald Driver (GB)
TE - Zach Miller (OAK)

Only slight worry is that I am a bit light a WR - hoping the Forte catches fire and I can trade him for a number 1 or number 2 WR.

I think that's about 7 in it so far, if we can get about 10 or 12 I reckon we're doing well.

No, but I'm just about to set it up just now. I've got 3 of my pals in, which makes 10 at the moment. I'll make it 14, and then if we don't get enough, the league will just start with however many we have, so it won't be a problem.

The draft time is set for Sunday 29th August at 8.30pm, but of course, if that doesn't suit people then changes can be made. Changes are also still possible in terms of the roster sizes, or anything else to do with the league,so if anyone has any suggestions then we can sort that out. As it stands we have 11 teams.

That's me joined up. I was told when I joined the league now had an odd number of teams and would require an even number. Hopefully you get more people to join up.

Yeah there will be bench players, I'm just trying to decide how many there's going to be. I'd quite like to have quite big squads, so I was thinking of possibly having 8 bench players.
