Heard 2day that Chirnside are pulling the colts team out the league, and only having 1 team in the BAFA! any truth in this rumour?

Why would this team be folding? is this the team that won the c division last season? surly if true it can't be anything to do with not having enough players?

The 1st team have only had 5 or 6 boys trainin that's why manager quit last week. Think they have lost a few boys. At minute I understand there is 2 teams but it may be that 1st team is made up of Colts and 1st team players and not having enough players to make up 2 teams so Colts will fold. Think decision is being made this week. Chairman also quit I believe

What is happening then? I am interested to know what is going on as the information i posted, which I understood to be correct with no exaggerations or bits added on , came from an actual Colts player who would have no reason to state anything other than the facts so please do enlighten us.

I stand corrected if the information I posted is well off the mark but the post came off the back of an actual discussion last week with the aforementioned Colts player and not after some murmurings in some dingy back street pie shop or bakers in a far flung Borders toon like some of the rumours which appear on P&B seem to stem from.

So here is your chance in the spotlight to put all those rumours to bed and tell us the actual facts?

All i'm going to say mate is that it has nothing to do with only 5 or 6 boys turning up at training, it goes a lot deeper than that. I will leave it open for the 1 or 2 guys on here if they want to reveal the full reasons then it is up to them.

I was speaking to Ponder at the weekend when we played tollcross and I was saddened to hear big gav and bolty finished! Big task for colts manager to take on that role so all the best to him and his back room team and I hope all the problems are ironed out and chirnside continue to be a force.

I am sure the real facts will come to fruition in due course!

Good stuff! So we're gonna go in with 12-12-11 this season. 2 up 2 down in each league?

Promotion and relegation are decided at the AGM every year under "Formation of Leagues". Usually 2 up 2 down but it sometimes varies due to teams dropping out and new applications.Posted Image
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.
