Squad is coming along nicely. Arron has signed for the vale, which was a bit of a blow as he would have been partnering speedy up top! But we are looking at a few options just now, but cant really say who until pen is put to paper. As everyone is aware, Mark Wilson has returned which is a massive signing for us, that was probably the weakest part of our squad. We have just also signed Ross Forrest and Chris Borthwick from Peebles Rovers. Sammy Burton who was with Kelso Utd last season is also training with us as is Darren Stewart from Stow, I repeat they are only training as they have not put pen to paper and are keeping there options open. There are one or 2 other lads that we are looking at so things are looking very promising indeed. The only players that hve left for definate are Hastie, Arron and Lowrie. We are looking to keep most of last seasons team and Roly is now in place as co-manager!

Andy and Deek will be at training tonight. As will Tosh, Tosh has been training with both us and Linton and hasnt yet signed anything. David Blaikie has been training with both peebles rovers and linton. Matty is taking a break at the moment - as its pre-season and he never does it!

Dont think Gary will like you calling him a gala boy! The answer to your question is, that Jinky may actually make the bench!

You seem to be hearing quite a lot TWBM! Jinky is, and always will be, the most unenthusiastic player ever to have graced the amateur game! He has never said he has quit, nor has he said he will do! His words to me were, and you may be shocked but, "I really canny be bothered the now"
Any other news you want to tell me about mate or would like answered?!

The Bank are calling the shots mate yeah, we had to let lowrie go coz he kept stealing things, hastie because of the amount of tape he used and scott because of the amount of packets of crisps consumed, not to mention the cleaning bill from sweeping up his pubes after a game!

Peter is a great wee player, he has been training with both us and Peebles Rovers. He is very much keeping his options open at the moment, but I would be lying if I said I didnt want him on board!

Watched the rovers against tollcross today and both teams were very poor, latest recruits for the rovers sherlaw, forrest didnt show well.
why was Arron sommerville playing today and signed players on the bench?
tollcross are a bog standard edinburgh lower league team and they matched the rovers easily, worrying times ahead for PG

Don't go jumping to conclusions lpr.. Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm sure you know as well as me that you can't gel new guys instantly into a side especially at this early stage of pre season. The whole idea is to have a look at these guys is it not? A shortage of strikers today saw Aaron get a run out up top, gave him game time and no point playing out of position players up there.. Does them no favors either!!
I'm sure PG will sleep ok tonight.. Drink fuelled obviously...

Arron was playing centre mid 1st half? speedy and pistol (who was firing blanks) were the front 2..
Is Arron staying with the rovers or going back over the fence to the vale?

This shows how little you know about football LPR. Of course Aaron isn't going to sign for the rovers, he was training with Alloa only a few weeks ago and has no doubt had other offers at much bigger clubs. He was playing to help out the Rovers yesterday with a few players missing due to injury/holidays etc. The new players didn't have the best of games but it would be a very harsh person that judges them on their first game of pre season. Far from tough times ahead with a few decent players still to return from holiday etc
