The fact it is shite and that you shouldn't believe rumours was the point I was making. Tweedbank pitch must be awful to choose to play at the Netherdale since I'm guessing you are on the smaller pitch rather than the Skytes pitch.

the what pitch

how many parks is there to play on at netherdale
am sure they play on the back pitchs

There are three pitches out the back of Netherdale though one of them is pretty small and the other is used by all the teams down there to train on so it gets cut up pretty badly.

Knew it was something like that.
Interesting start to the season for Gala Utd with some tough games.

The one beside all the cars and this also where Gala Rovers officially play rather than the Dean pitch. The other pitch which they might play runs fat a 90 degree angle from this pitch, parallel with the road.

A few teams could go up in the B division but I would expect Stow to win the league comfortably with Gala, Linton, Tweeddale & Tweedmouth all fighting for 2nd spot.

They should all be able to play though it will mean a couple of teams sharing a changing room or cabin in this case. Interesting day to be down Netherdale.

A cant believe young Billy Miller has signed with Stow (If true)? What a massive step in the wrong direction! He is defo a player who could with a bit of luck play at senior level in a few years time? But am afraid in going there he is making a rather big mistake? What could he get out or learn playing wi that Awful pub league side!!

Help ma Boab! it's true Billy has signed for Stow. We swapped him for Big Brian Wilson!!!! Bye the bye there is no longer a pub in Stow let alone a pub leaguePosted Image .

Next your going to tell me stow are a good football side with more than 3 good players?
There is "one passing football team" that you follow that hasn't beaten Stow for a few years BoabPosted Image good football side or not.
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

Having coached Billy I actually think this is a good move. He should get a game every week rather than sitting on the bench for the Dean and he should also be playing in a winning side rather than getting pumped each week playing for the Dean U'19s. If he has a decent couple of season playing for Stow and at the ripe old age of 19 he'll be much better prepared to play EOS football.

Had heard that Billy had signed for Stow but also heard that he wish he hadnt too!

I agree that he might be in a winning team and that will boost his confidence but doesnt necessarily make him a better player technically on the ball. For someone of Billy's age, its about development not winning. Billy would be an important player for the 19's and would be in the Dean squad on a saturday too. Yes, he might be on the bench at the Dean come saturday but it'll give him an incentive to work hard in trainin and when not trainin to make sure that he is in the first 11.

Whoever he's signed for, i wish him all the best, cracking wee player with a lot of potential!!

Well he is certainly training hard for someone who doesn't want to be there.Posted Image
