Very good game between two committed sides.Pencaitland went in 2 nil up at half time then scored 2 quick goals just after to all but end the cup tie.Tweeddale fought all the way and deserved to get a couple back before Pencaitland scored with 5 mins left.

Not really a bad tackle in the game but the Tweeddale Manager tried very hard to wind the Pencaitland players up with his childish shouts,it was really embarrassing for the guy who made a complete twat of himself for 90 mins.

Not sure if he behaves like this every week but if he does I dont know how the players can listen to it.

Some great quotes from him "what the fcuk have you idiots ever won" and "we have rested our 6 best players
for the weekend" and one more "we will be in A division when you lot are no longer a team".

Good Luck to the Tweeddale players on sat, they are good lads.

that actually sounds like he was having a quiet night, tweeddale players all bring ear plugs to the games more important than shin pads

Maybe he does things well during training etc but not during the games.

I think he needs to learn to lose with a bit of dignity.

Love them or loathe them, it takes characters like this man to be involved in amateur football and youth football. Take these people away and your amateur teams would struggle. I have exchanged verbals over the pitch with many times but when the final whistle blows he has always shook hands and had a blether over a pint. Every team has one whether they admit it or not! Usually it is because they are passionate about their team and will stand by them and up for them no matter what. If they step out of line then the club and ultimately ref should have a word. Don't mistake enthusiasm for nastiness. There are far worse things going on in the worldPosted Image

I understand what you mean but this guy had lost the plot that night.I have also had a few pints with this guy in the past and he is ok which makes it more surprising the way he acted during the game.

You will have a chance next season to have a couple more with him Posted Image

jimmy top does go over the top at times but he always acts with what he sees as the teams best intrest at heart, and is a great beleiver that once the teams are off the park its over and anything thats happened in the game is finished with.
no matter what he says during the game he'll always discuss the game in the pub and listen to other points of view.
he is what he is when he get stick he takes it (mainly because he usually starts the slagging) then gives more back

Jimmy has always been like this even when he used to coach us at youth level (well, maybe not that bad) but he's just passionate about the game and lyk many of the boys on here have said in previous posts, he's not a bad guy of the pitch and looking at results, seems to have done a good job with Tweeddale who were unfortunate not to have won back-to-back promotions

Great first post!

Yes i did approach him after the game and shook hands with him.

Were you at the game?

If you dont think he acted like an idiot there is something wrong with you.

was at the game an think you are blowing everything out of proportion. most of the things shouted were spot on but some teams just think they're untouchable!! maybe you should concentrate on your football use werent great and on another day we would have beat you by 2 or 3 goals. grow up duckhook an smell the coffee
