Am no sure if its all gossip but heard from a few people around gala that the rovers could be expecting a few of there top eos players back for next season! If true then would expect them to be the team to beat next year!

i have been told that sean hardie could be taking a step up to the dean. if a lot of the old players go back then maybe that could be a door opened for the hotspur and united to get some talent for next season

At this moment in time it's alot of hot air; just as your predictions of players coming to the Rovers in december were Boab. (Jay, Hardies & Des).Posted Image
Let's wait and see what happens when the dust settles after what has been a terrible season for Fairydean because I'm sure there will be some movement of players but with the quality of people like Andy or Des then there is bound to be interest from other EoS teams.
I'm sure the Rovers would be more than happy to keep the squad as it is now for next season and still feel they have a chance for silverware but this is highly unlikely (can see S Hardie & R Grant leaving).

Either way, it should be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of months

Off topic but,

If/when this 3G is laid, I reckon Gala football will go from strength to strength, Fairydean and Rovers have a rep. for playing good footie, my lad plays on it every week and you can't not play football on it. It'll be booked up 6/7 days a week, so you'll get financial returns, the surface is grassy/spongy/consistent bounce (not like the old Luton/QPR days), and games will never be off for rain. The ball isn't as much in the air and it would be beneficial to pacy players. And you can wear ANY footwear.

mark wilson has rejoined leithen rovers from the vale, excellent signing for the rovers, mark has came on a bundle over the last 12 months under the guidance of davie mcginlay the vale goalkeeping coach.

Good player Des, too good for Border Amateur! Gala will miss him if he has departed to Selkirk.

Gala will do well to replace him for next seasons EoS push for the Prem!

Cant say am suprised to hear that, good signing for the Rovers. Thought he might go to either Leithen Rovers or Peebles Rovers.

Gala Rovers are wanting Des too, no danger of him going back to the Dean I'd imagine.
