I tried Kies Air but it didn't seem to detect the firmware update. Can't day I've found anything amazing but a few nice bits and pieces here and there.

Do you think Inverness can handle the pressure of being top? I think not. Inverness will not be able to handle it.

You shouldnt need to use Kies air either. Just go into the system menu and check for updates there.

Back on apps - if you're a sky broadband customer, their Cloud wifi app is worth downloading. Free wifi at any Cloud hotspot without having to register again

And, if youre an O2 customer their app is well worth downloading. Really easy access to your usage and allowances

Did that but it asked me to sign up to some Samsung site. I decided to go with what was meant to be the easier plug in the cable option.

I downloaded that Sky Wifi / Cloud app and it says I don't have the right kind of broadband associated with my account. Need to get that checked out as it looks like a really handy app to have. I had similar problems with the Sky Go app.

Go into Settings/About Phone/Software Update/Update.......it takes quite a while though.

Just updated my S2 to 4.0.3. I don't really see any benefit to it other than a few free games, which I have not tried yet. It took quite a while to download and install and the upshot was I had to replace all the short-cut icons for the apps I use regularly and I had lost one of my main email accounts and had to set it up again. The default colour scheme is ghastly and I would prefer if it didn't say "swipe screen to unlock" every time you pick it up, I know how to unlock it.

The only useful benefit I have found is the check-box next to emails so you can check and delete spam before clicking on it.

Anyone found any useful features?

cheers, had done it.

Mine asked me to sign up to samsung, I just did it, no' bothered

Updated mine through the awful kies website took a few goes. Is it just me or does it not run as smoothly when browsing some websites namely p&b.

Kies is the most horrendous piece of software ever made.

That'll probably depend on your browser as well. I'm using the Google Chrome beta, which is lightweight and given me no problems whatsoever. The only downside to it is that it doesn't support Flash.
