Been invited to play in a Memorial golf day for a guy from my local who died suddenly aged 50 about Christmas time.
Is the course good and what is the clubhouse/food like etc.
Cheers in advance for any input.

Kings Acre is a good fun golf course. The first Four holes are a little bland, but the last 14 are very good. Back nine is certainly the better half. I would consider it is reasonably easy course, with wide and forgiving fairways. The rough won't be all that thick, and the trees are still young, so if you stray you can find your ball. The greens are big and are always very good. The best holes on the course are the 15th which is a superb drving hole from a great hight, and the 18th. There are two ponds in play on the last.
I would equate Kingacre with a mix between glenbervie and callander(picking courses from falkirk area). It will still have to develop, but its already a very good course, if not a classic.
The practice facilities are world class. Well worth getting their early and hitting some shots.
Food is very good but slightly overpriced.
The website is helpful.

Cheers for the info.
Not played in a couple of years so the course will resemble Baghdad by the time i am finished.
I am wasted on good courses
