Clickity click.

Must be pretty gutting for it to happen to any player. That will likely to be his international career over now?

How can they possibly know that, given the fact that he has been injured for about an hour?

Pretty much but I think it gets Capello out of jail as as to should he take him to the world cup or not.

I have my doubts if he would have been picked anyway.

on a personal level i couldn't agree more, he does seem like a nice fella. Beckham deserves huge credit for attending all friendlies and flying back from usa for all games.

From an A.B.E point of view im really made up

It's a shame for the guy.
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

It must be gutting for someone who clearly loves their country so much not to get the chance to break the record of most consecutive world cup appearances. A lot of the overpayed and overhyped players could take a leaf out of Beckham's book.

He's always one of the hardest trainers and is more than happy to fly half way across the world to sit on the bench until the 85th minute in a meaningless friendly because he loves playing for his country so much.

Poor Beckham, always seems like a nice guy and has often been treated so shabbily by the media in his own country.
Edson Braafheid... in the World Cup final!?

I give up. What's the table tennis equivalent of Pie & Bovril?

Whenever the camera cuts to him on the bench its brilliant he is just like a fan, at first I thought it was for show but he is the same for ever game friendly or quailfier.

Terrible news for Beckham - a player I have immense respect for. As has been mentioned he is always there for his country and is a popular player. No player deserves to miss out on playing in the world cup.

Doubt Capello will be losing any sleep over this. Means he can take Walcott, Lennon and Milner to the World Cup, all better options on the right than Beckham these days.

Except that none of them have anything like the big game experience Beckham has.

Capello probably would have picked Beckham over at least one of those players if he was available. He isn't doing that for anything other than footballing reasons, so I can't imagine he will be particularly happy at his options being reduced.

Really? I would take Beckham over Walcott right now without a doubt. Lennon is struggling to make it with injury, leaving Milner out of your list. Beckham is going to be a big miss for England. He likely wouldn't have started any game, but his experience, and ability is something they could have used.

Keown is a w****r like. Did he not say something about a 'mothers day kind of atmosphere' on MOTD last night. Seriously, what a p***k. Ha.

Feel sorry for Beckham. Would love to see Adam Johnson get a chance. Great goal yesterday.

My sympathies for beckham, there a few who give as much for their country as he does.
