Encouraging performance yesterday and I'd be pleased if it carried onto Tuesday, only if we can take at least one of our guilt edged chances! It's my understanding that Dumbarton have tied up David Winters and Dennis Wyness which will prove a stern test for our defence that'll probably be minus Lithgow again. Not seen Dumbarton this season yet but it's pretty clear they've improved since the 3-3 draw away at the start of the season, and that we've also got a stronger and better squad since that fixture. I'd go (providing Lithgow's still out);

Reidford
McLachlan Kinniburgh McGowan Boyle
White Park Gramovics Strachan
Doolan Borisovs

Subs: Allan, Cassidy, Wilson, Stewart, Sawyers.

With our danger going forward and Dumbartons capability of danger going forward (Carcary, Murray, Wyness, Winters) we should be in for a good contest. And if we can take a couple of our chances (maybe Borisovs will deliver from the start, he's certainly looked the part when I've seen him), we'll be in for a tight encounter.

A score draw or either side to win it by a single goal.

I'm only going to catch the second half of this game unfortunately. Same goes for all the upcoming week-night fixtures at Broadwood. Cowdenbeath away is off the agenda altogether. Likewise Dumbarton. But I'll make a point of doing Peterhead with what limited holiday allowance I have in my new employ.

Get your stats out for the lads? Cowden will be the only game of any description (other than closed-door or bounce) I've missed since Dundee at Dens in August '06. A gutter - but we're certs to win a couple now at least!

For this one, I'd reintroduce Lithgow if possible, with Kinniburgh dropping out. And I'd have Sawyers alongside Doolan as opposed to Stewart, whose fitness wanes. We want to force as much play on Dumbarton as possible. Maximise possession. They're by no means a powerful side. A lot of pace, flair and guile about certainly them but Clyde are reasonably well equipped to deal with counter attacks. If we can overload and do the business early doors (two or more goal deficit worked up) then there should be enough about us to come away with the three points.

I'd be looking at set-plays and corners in particular for goals; Lithgow, White, Sawyers, Strachan & Park all compete well enough. We didn't stretch Sons at Strathclyde homes last time but we managed three goals without doing so. They're stronger than they were then of course but as are we.

Clean sheets don't look likely, teams and pitch size considered. Only other thing on my mind is Gramovics & Park. Hopefully they last a while and their opposite numbers aren't too fresh either. Perhaps Wilson could replace the Latvian lad at some stage.

Should hopefully make this one, and i'm looking forward to it. still pissed off about yesterdays results. maybe the fact we are all but down might inspire the players to go on a magical 13 unbeaten run;)
i would go with this lineup:

reidford

mclachlan kinniburgh mcgowan/lithgow boyle

white park gramovics strachan

borisov doolan

although i would not hold it against mccormack for putting lithgow, if he's fit, on the bench since mcgowan hasn't done anything wrong but i think lithgow should always be playing. stewart has to be dropped and borisovs goal should merit him a start, his first i believe,
i think it'll be narrow. 1-0 or 2-1 to clyde. borisov getting the first and if theres a second a 25 yarder from gramovics

And that was not a good start, losing the Doctor at this stage of the game is pretty catastrophic, the Mafia will be creaming themselves after that kill. Particularly when the Doctor is as skilful a player as Forehead is.

 Genius. And I'm genuinely gutted you won't be able to make the mid-week fixtures we have left this season - your post-match analysis of all games have been a joy to read, although the use of an online dictionary has had to been used a fair few times over the past two years to understand some of your crazy language skills.

Like the rest of the games, this is must win. Draws aren't good enough anymore, unfortunately.
What is my perfect crime? I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No. I go for the chandelier - it's priceless. As I'm taking it down a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say 'no'. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico, but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris, by the Trocadero - she's been waiting for me all these years; she's never taken another lover. I don't care, I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stash the chandelier.

Will make this one, if theres room on the bus.

Its not going to be an easy game, and i hope no Sons fans take this game for granted. Clyde may be bottom but theyre good going forward and can hit the net aswell.

TEAM:
Jan

Chissy Dunlop Gordon Smith

Geggan McStay Clark Cook

Winters Wyness

Subs: White, Murray, Carcary, Chaplain, Hunter

Prediction: Ahhh, it'll be tight but i think we'll win it. Ill say 3-1 Sons. Winters, Wyness and Clark

You would really benefit from some English lessons.

Anyway, back on topic, Sons to win 0 - 1.

That is far from the truth when it comes to us. We have the exact opposite problem, not taking chances. Not hoping for too much from this game. I just hope the boys continue to show the improvement of late and can maybe scrape the win.

Only change to the line up would be Stewart out for Borisovs and Lithgow back in if only 100% fit - not sure who i'd drop for him.

2-1 Dumbarton. :(

If Lithgow's back then I'd stick him in the centre of defence and drop McGowan to the bench. Not that he really deserves it, but the thought of him at left back with Murray or Carcary bearing down on him gives me the absolute skitters.

Not really sure about this one - Dumbarton, like Clyde, have plenty of attacking options and our defence still looks pretty frail despite the improvements. Especially with McLachlan in there to give the ball back to Dumbarton, should they lose it.

In my eyes we're already relegated, all I'm looking for is to be entertained and hope against hope that we claw back some points in the process

Anyway, totally forgot about the fans meeting beforehand. Dunno if I can really be arsed turning up to hear yet more broken promises from our joke of a board.

I can't agree with that at all. I've just read John Alexander's post on the OS and by the sounds of it we're really making strides to sort ourselves out. The well published financial deficit of £430k is due to be down to about £200k by the end of the financial year, and he's also explained exactly what's going on with NLL. The meeting will probably be pretty dry, but assuming the right questions are asked and someone kidnaps that old fanny for the night, then it could be a constructive meeting

I fully trust our board with the club now that the main culprits all seem to be gone

Fair enough. Can't really argue with that.

Not a member of the OS so alien to whatever is getting said on the official forum.

For me, the way this game will go, depends largely on our team line-up, the midfield in particular.

I.e, I very much advocate the return of Murray, McStay and Carcary to the team.

After looking forward to Saturdays game and us giving a decent account of ourselves, absolutely nothing is motivating me ahead of this fixture at all. Moneys tight so I might not even go, but probably will. See how I feel tomorrow.

McStay is suspended. He might start one of the other two - if you're lucky.

It's essential that we stop the rot and try to put some distance between us and the bottom sides. Accordingly, I'd like to see us set up to attack from the off, but who knows what'll happen <_<

I think it's fair to say that this match hasn't peaked the interest of either sets of fans. Dumbarton seem to be on a slump, and thnkgs at Clyde are on a constant downer. We've now got a squad probably capable of promotion had they been together since August, yet we still can't win a game

It'll probably be another draw, which suits nobody
