Good to see both teams coming into this off the back of good wins. We're facing a selection nightmare ahead of it with us seeming to lose 2 or 3 players every game. Woods red card yesterday was one of the worst decisions i have ever seen and i'm pretty sure we now miss him for both games with it being a straight red, Greg Ross will come back into the team although he seems to be a carrying a bit of a knock too. Gibson went off injured so joins the likes of Cardle, Kirk and Bayne on the sidelines. On the plus side, the pace of Graham and Mcdougal as a forward pairing looks like it could really cause teams serious problems (although maybe not quite as effective against a deep set Rover's side).
Can't say i'm especially confident as whatever side we put out, there will be an experimental feel to it. considering our lack of Width, i can see graham being put back out wide with Campbell coming in up front after making a couple of promising appearances from the bench but we'll probably still be faced with playing a central midfielder on the right. Hopefully we can keep things tight at the back with Higgins and Dowie looking a good pairing again, just got to stop Burke's Kamikaze runs at his own defence, another couple of penalties wouldn't go amiss either!
I've got a wee feeling we'll take 4 points from the two games but i wouldn't be surprise at any share of the spoils, just so long as we don't come away with no points and end up back in 6th

No.
He'll miss the next game automatically. If he has gone through a suspension points threshhold (which he might or might not have done, I wouldn't know) then he'll get a further ban but it will start 14 days from the date of the offence which means he'll certainly be available next Saturday.
Of course you could appeal it seeing as a straight red was given and, if you win, he won't be suspended at all.

How bad is Gibson's injury? He ran the show against us at Starks Park last time so I'll be glad if he's out.

it's a groin strain, could be wrong but he seemed to kick the ground when taking a free kick and it just went, i'd imagine a week or two on the sidelines before returning to the bench for a couple.

Well, that's good news for us. He's a decent player, and would have undoubtedly caused us problems. Either that, or been sent off, whatever...
I'd be quite happy to take the same results as the Ross County double-header. Lose away and win at home, or vice versa.
I'd hope that the old "The same team doesn't usually win both games" adage runs true, because I can't see us taking 6 points, that would just be beyond ridiculous. Even a win and a draw for us would be absolutely fantastic. And I'd much rather me both took 3 points from this week, rather than we both took 2.
Hopefully we'll have a massive, vocal support on Tuesday night, following on from yesterday. Avoiding a defeat would probably see the same big, loud home support at Stark's on Saturday, too.
Oh, and if you beat us twice, we're still in the Scottish Cup so na na nah nah na.

I hope we're not too drained after the last two showings in the cup and league but hopefully everyone will still be up for this. If we can pick up 3 or 3 points from these two I'd deem it a massive success. Dunfermline have played the best free-flowing, attacking football on two of the three times I've seen them but they can be a little naive at times. Hopefully, we can repeat the feat we achieved last time at East End.
2-1 to Raith: Weir and Simmons scoring.

First and foremost we must appeal against Woods red card as it looks like we have a good case going by the highlights, so hopefully we can have him available for Tuesday.
Additionally i'm a bit cautious about the next couple of games considering our squad is becoming crippled with injuries with Gibson now on the sidelines. Also we must be wary of Raith considering they have made a habit of winning big games this season and their win against Dundee will boost their confidence.
Fleming will be in goals as always with the backline hopefully remaining the same if Woods becomes free to play on Tuesday. In midfield Holmes should keep his place if he is fit enough after an excellent performance, while Burke has to be dropped after another poor performance with either Mason or Phinn taking his place. I'm expecting Graham to be pushed back onto the wing with Bell on the other side. The strikers then pick themselves with McDougall and Campbell upfront.
Considering our injuries that still looks a decent side and one which will hopefully earn us all three points on Tuesday night, come on Pars lets bring these Rovers back down to Earth!

I was hoping you would win yesterday. It's nice to see one of the three wee Fife teams doing well in the cup for once, rather than just having us representing the Kingdom consistently in the latter stages over the last few years.

Is there a derby on Tuesday night? I'd honestly forgotten.
Er, we'll probably lose. I wouldn't have thought Russell will be up to another start so maybe Smith will replace him in our only change from yesterday. Our players must be dead on their feet this morning, they're going to be doing very well to get themselves fit and ready for this one. Kirk and Bayne being out is good news for us, Gibson as well although I'm treating that one with suspicion, I wouldn't be surprised to see the wee nyaff running out onto the pitch on Tuesday evening.
I suppose if there's one good thing about it being a derby on the back of yesterday it's that it'll be a fairly similar crowd and atmosphere to the Dundee match, not like last time where we went from 7000 against Aberdeen to 1500 against ICT - and duly got pumped.
Quite looking forward to this now you've all reminded me it's on.

looking forward to this game. I think its a good thing that both teams are going into the game with confidence and recent results should boost the attendance. I think it will be close but the pars will take the 3 points at home and i would take a point at starks. The injuries and woods suspension worries me but we should still have enough quality to win the game

Confident of a result due to Dunfermlines injuries and suspensions. The buzz around the club at the moment will give us a boost. Im going for a 3-1 Raith win

It's going to be a battle and I'd be happy with a win in either of the games.
Can see the Rovers support being lower than normal for a Fife Derby as it's two local derbys in one week, right after the biggest cup match in over a decade.
I would imagine some people will save their money for just one of the games.

Can't wait for these two games, on an excellent run were on and I would love three points right now from the two games. If we can get 4 points to take us into the easier set of fixtures and the semi final I would be in dreamland.
Bring it on.
Bring it on.

Mon the Pars
Nice wee 6 points from you here would be ideal.
The situation surrounding our 2 remaining games with Raith couldnt be much better, with the Ross County being called off midweek before our first game, it gives us a whole week to rest and prepare for the Raith game, and with Raith visiting us the wednesday before thier semi final, i'd hope that thier minds were elsewhere during that game

Haha I thought it was brilliant that Rovers were playing Dundee in the Scottish cup in possibly one of the biggest games for them in at least the past decade and they couldn't help but sing songs about the Pars for large spells. Sums them up.

I was quite drunk during the game, but I remember most of it. I can barely remember any songs being sung about your shower.

It good to see Ayr rallying towards the end of the season, even if u do have that c**t McManus playing for u. I dont think rovers will get drawn into the playoff scrap but you never know.

I wouldn't flatter your team. Maybe a song or two but mostly it was all about our players, club and manager.

Don't flatter yersells, there was one or two "stand up if you hate the Pars" (nice to see that Dee boys think you're all twats too) other than that you were off the radar.

Plus its better if the newer teams to the league like Rovers and Ayr stay up, and likesMorton and Airdrie go down in order to freshin up the competion. No doubt though Airdrie will find some technicality to stay up again.
