Always liked this guy, was in awe of him when he destroyed rangers in the UEFA cup final. Seems like a really down to earth genuine guy and the points he makes in the interview are totally true, especially the point about role-models and players having to act as if they are angels to "set a good example"

Quote

'If I had it in my power to introduce a ban on women driving cars and to withdraw all their licences, I would do it without thinking twice,'

Quote

'I would never give driving lessons to women. We need to build new roads for them. Why? Because you never know what to expect from a woman on the road. If you see a car behaving weirdly, swerving and doing strange things, before you see the driver you know it is a woman. It is always a woman.'

From the same person. Clearly a sane individual.
What is my perfect crime? I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No. I go for the chandelier - it's priceless. As I'm taking it down a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say 'no'. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico, but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris, by the Trocadero - she's been waiting for me all these years; she's never taken another lover. I don't care, I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stash the chandelier.

I'm a big fan of Arshavin but in games I still feel he can do a lot more with the talent he has. His movement and vision is second to none however I think he should be chipping in with a few more goals.

He gets in some great positions but tends to snatch at chances too often.

"I remember all of them, and every single one was a deliberate stab through the heart of Hibernian Football Club. Nothing against the fans but you lot have to understand that when Hibs didn't sign me, I wanted revenge. Some folk laugh at that and say: ‘What, all 27?' I suppose maybe 25 were punishment; the other two I banged in just for the hell of it."

Absolutely cracking player with enormous potential. He's still young, give him time to develop fully.

He is nearly 29 and he is in the form of his life, he will only decline from now.

Such a sentiment concerning women drivers is quite widespread. As to Arshavin spouting this view - well, I will just say that all I expect from footballers is playing football. If they can string two more or less coherent sentences together, than it's an unexpected bonus.

Check out his finishing against Man United. Fucking hilarious. Infact, check his shooting any time Wenger decided to play as striker.

To be fair he hasn't changed much in terms of looks. He still looks pretty youthful.

He scored a stoater at Old Trafford earlier this year. I remember that too.

As for Wenger, can't comment but I'm sure he played as a defender in his day.
