I'm holding judgment until next week; if we haven't taken 6 points from the two teams propping everyone else up, then I'll perhaps consider agreeing.

There was a guy on 'your call' insisting that Jocky has to go, and also that he'd still sack him if Dundee win the league.

Quote

Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre must be at a loss to explain the succession of goalkeeping howlers he's witnessed from the frazzled Pars this season. I'm picturing a scene akin to Basil Fawlty whacking his car repeatedly with a branch after deciding "enough is enough!"

Dear, dear auld Socky.

Poor wee man getting all the blame, while all the big money players on the park are really just shite, and you know you are as the the song goes.

And I told you as much after the boxing day match and nobody paid any attention, telt ye.

Still you've got the Challenge Cup to piss in.

Nah, it's an over-reaction.

Getting papped out the cup by an inferior team is annoying, but it happens. Getting to the quarters isn't bad, and Dundee are still top of the league. It would be very harsh to sack Jocky, IMO.

I think expectations are too high.

Did your mob not sack John McCormack when you were top of the league too?

Crazy Dundonians...

Yes and that was one of the best ever decisions made at the club.

Every week I say he is clueless, get abuse from his followers, and they praise him. He steadied the ship, now go. Now excuses for todays performance, last weeks, the week before, the week before that.......... Higgins is worse than Hutch, Harkins is terrible in the middle, Forsyth :( and Paton has been awful all season. If he is not sacked then we WILL lose the title.

'If he is not sacked then we WILL lose the title.'

Absolutely typical post by a Dundee fan, you see Yogi you cannot LOSE the title if you haven't already WON it which you haven't, comprend?? you win the title if on the last day of the season you have more points than the rest, it may surprise you that there is still some games to go which if Dundee continue to play as they have recently they will certainly LOSE, best you can you do is ship the duds like the Griffin and Hackpins if you want a fighting chance.

Anyway well done Raith, as I said on another post I couldn't believe the odds against you with Billy Hill at 19/5 so I put a tenner on you.

I agree. He is far, far too cautious with his tactics.

Quoted today as saying "There is no motivation needed for today's game, The event speaks for itself".

Absolute fucking clown.

That load of pish today was the final straw for me. Mackenzie should have been told to GTF weeks ago, Forsyth has been needing dropped for over a month, its common fucking sense, we can't change the full backs because there is nobody else to bring in, and don't get me started on Curier, I see he had another brilliant game again today, yet another Jocky masterstroke/f**k-up. Rant over.
I like a bit of a cavort.

Jocky didnt have a fucking clue today, and neither did the fucking defence and I have said this all season, we are just merely being found out, Lauchlan and McKenzie are fucking diddies, bring McKeown and Malcolm in to the middle.
Far better than them two fucking circus acts.
Jocky is definitely gone at the end of the season regardless of whether we get promoted or not.

Fair to say that the reaction on here is far from surprising as I feel that the dee fans have had some serious concerns from the turn of the year, Dundee have spent a lot of money on what it seems is a mediocre team, but you have to say that given the present crop of scottish footballers that this is the best they can get for the money they have, Caley however have in the shape of Foran, Hayes and Rooney three hungry Irish players who are now at 11 games unbeaten with Rooney tooping the goals scored table.

Dundee at the moment are looking very much like DUDSDEE.

Raith Rovers 19/5 against?? feckin unbelieveable!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !

Your not wrong,,,, For most of the season we been pretty dire, majority of the matches we have been overrun and we have not played well in hardly any games so far this season.
I put this down to JOCKY, he is not getting the best out of the players, mind you there is only a handful I would keep if were to play SPL football.
Harkins, Griffiths and Kerr and thats it, the rest are fucking dire first division players

I have defended Jocky all season and shall continue to do so but today was absolutely ridiculous. If he can't even fire the team up with a possible trip to Hampden as an incentive when will he be able to?

Jocky would be THE man to keep us in the SPL and have us doing well, however, I'm beginning to worry if he is the man to get us promoted.

Not good enough Jocky, things MUST improve.

Jocky still hasn't sussed that MacKenzie isn't very good. I wasn't there today, so it's perhaps a bit unfair to comment, but according to a few of those who were there he was poor. He was pretty rotten in the 2-1 game earlier in the season, even though he scored. I seem to recall that, bizarrely, he got MotM that game, even though he was rotten in defence. I assumed he got it for scoring the winner. I'm assuming he must play well more often than not. Is that the case?

Re Jocky, he's one of those dinosaurs of the Scottish game. I can never recall him being a particularly good manager. What is his claim to fame?

Winning the Scottish Cup.
Winning the Alba Challenge Cup.
Winning the League Cup.
Winning the First Divison.
Taking Dundee to their highest ever SPL finish.
Finishing Second in the league with Aberdeen.

Becoming the FIRST manager to have won the Scottish cup, League Cup & Challenge Cup.

EDIT TO ADD: I have quoted ScaryBear's post but it just seems to be repeating my own?

Having seen Dundee 3 times now this season I am sure of one thing - if they persist in playing McKenzie and Lachlan as their center back paring they WILL NOT win the league. Two of the slowest defenders in the division. Cannot believe MK Dons have signed Mckenzie up. Look good going forward but woeful at the back. The left back not much better than the center two either.

Get a tenner on Caley. Not meaning to put the boot into Dundee but of the teams in the division , based on games against Raith,- Dunfermline, Caley, Partick and Ross County have all looked better and caused us more problems. Money can buy players - but not a team.

When did he win the Scottish Cup and League Cup?

Last time Dundee won the League Cup was 1973.

McKenzie and Lauchlan have been a shambles each time we've played Dundee this season. It's astonishing that they've gotten to March with those two still playing. It's even more astonishing that McKenzie has been signed by MK Dons.

89/90 Season with Aberdeen.

However, his Aberdeen side also bottled the title on the last day of the following season. Sounding familiar?:(
