Indeed they did, with the exception of McKenna who was left forlornly chasing McDougall from full back. It was appalling defending, though I'm not sure how much if any of it was down also to Lilley not being properly fit.

have to agree their, my first impressions on our first and second goals was that although both came from top quality passes, the defending was absolutely terrible. With half an hour gone, i thought we had a good chance of racking up 5 or 6 goals simply by the way everything was balancing in our favour, Queens were defending terribly whilst offering zero threat going forward (even with the chances we presented them with in the first half, the efforts from Holmes were terrible). all the silly decisions seemed to be going in our favour too with one notable example being the referee over ruling the linesman to give us a goal kick when Mcann clearly got the last touch. The ref also saw in our favour on the physical battles with Holmes who was getting increasingly frustrated. We never really got going though and it was a much more even affair second half.

The Pars Official footage comes from the other side of the park and should have a much better view of it. Will be interesting to see but as I said earlier, I'd agree it was very harsh. Nowhere near as bad as Boetang who should have seen TWO red cards yesterday. Both his bookings should have been straight reds.

I see Dunfermline now have the match on their Official Site video and have submitted an appeal over Woods red card.

Observations from that:
The Gibson cross for the second goal is an absolute peach and pretty much unstoppable from our point of view. Hutton couldn't possibly have gotten it. Only thing we could, and should, have done was track the run of Woods to the ball.

The angle for the penalty incident isn't great and the fact that the ball doesn't really go anywhere certainly doesn't help McKenna's case but it doesn't conclusively show whether he did or didn't get the ball. Still think he did.

The Woods incident is right below the camera so as a result not the greatest angle either but it still doesn't look much. Maybe worth a booking for high feet, nothing more. Certainly not a kick and I expect they'll win that appeal.

The footage of McKenna's second yellow is excellent though and shows, as the Dunfermline fans have already said, there was nothing in it. I'm not sure there's actually any contact at all though the fact he had to hurdle the challenge doesn't mean it wasn't a foul. Certainly wasn't worth a booking but we can't appeal that even if we wanted to.
