Maybe picking up 10 points in 4 games from you and Morton isn't so unrealistic then Posted Image

Feel free to pick up as many as you wish against Morton, you wont hear me complaining about that

On today's showing you are a much better team than Morton, although that wouldnt be hard

theres a bit of history between the teams after what happened with our ex chairman and the old Airdrie, and they dirty b*****ds breaking our crossbar, but thats as far as it goes, nothing derbyish about it, just a nice mutual dislike for each other :D

No, despite the meedyas utterances Ayr only have one derby, Killie are the only other team in Scotland we really care about.

Are you the solitary guy left in the Airdrie end looking so cheerful at the end of the BBC Alba coverage?

Almost as funny as the Partick fan crying into his jester hat at the end of the coverage of the game that we relegated them

I hope Airdrie are relegated for the fans benefit nowt else, Airdrie fans need the wee pep up generated by winning lots of games, their club will die if they don't get some of thei fanbase back soon.

In conclusion, Ayr played absolutely shite, had the referee cheat us from the first whistle to the last (eventual) whistle and STILL we got a point that keeps us eighth.

Lovely. :D

I know you're used to making silk purses out of rancid Ayr results over decades but the window dressing after this is just too funny. You went to one of the poorest First Division sides in years, completely adrift at the bottom, on a great run of form, had them reduced to ten men, took the lead and then blew it. Given the circumstances it is a terrible result for Ayr, an opportunity to go four clear thrown away by a lack of concentration. Perhaps the luck that Ayr rode over the past week turned?

Not at all, you're just softening each other's squads in time for our nine home game winning streak.

Cheers Airdrie!
Long ball (often colloquially referred to as 'hoofball') is the term used in association football to describe an attempt, often speculative, to distribute the ball a long distance down the field via a cross, without the intention to pass it to the feet of the receiving player.

It is a technique that can be especially effective for a team with either fast or tall strikers. The long ball technique is also a through pass from distance in an effort to get the ball by the defensive line and create a foot race between striker and defender.[1] While often derided as either boring or primitive,[2] it can prove effective where players or weather conditions suit this style; in particular, it is an effective counter-attacking style of play in which some defenders can be caught off-guard.

what is with the boy lafferty and that stupid through ball he kept trying to play all game that didnt come off once

What game were you at? Lafferty was by far our best player today!

The celebration after we scored was incredible, probably the happiest I've been at an Ayr game this year. But in true Ayr United style, we had to go and throw it away, didn't we. Was absolutely gutted at the final whistle but after reflection I think it was a decent point. We were awful and Airdrie deserved at least a point.
Another game where we bring up a massive support and bottle it.

Paul Lovering really is a w****r, used to be one of my heroes as well. Moaning, diving, dirty b*****d.

And what was Kenny Black up to with that Penguin impression

This is actually accurate!

Not to be a hypocrite, given my post on The Honest Page (which the dick has probably just plagiarised), I agree with vT's post. That said, we have moved a point ahead of Morton and edged closed to that 25 point mark that vT was convinced we'd never breathe on.

I don't think even Brian Reid was convinced that you'd make 25 points a few weeks ago.
