hes looked quite good imo from what i have seen.Should be a good addition to the squad.I a agree abt the money though,Wyness and Winters is 1 hell of an expensive strikeforce even if it is only until the end of the season.God knows were the moneys coming from

Seems a bit of a waste of money signing Wyness and Winters. Dumbarton are not good enough to get into the promotion play offs and are not bad enough to be involved in the relegation play offs.
A fair whack on wages to finish in mid table seems daft.

FFS Well by that rational no teams outwith those good enough for promotion should have ambitions of improving their squads then?
We should just rest on our laurels and assume we arent going to be in a relegation fight?

I agree with Neilly - the point he's making is that Dumbarton's destiny for this season is to finish fifth or sixth and bringing in guys like Winters until May is just unecessary and a waste of money.

Well you aren't going to go down that's for sure, do you seriously think singing two strikers will get you a playoff spot? Has scoring goals been your problem?

Yes. For a number of season now. Not sure about the financial side of things but who knows, maybe he has secured himself a full-time job outside football and is happy to drop to part-time football with the reduced wage. Not sure, but from a footballing perspective it's a good signing.
Looking forward to him banging them in, with a couple against a woeful Stenny side tomorrow.

You have the worst defensive record in the league, a league that includes CLYDE, surely that is more of a worry and a problem that needs addressed?

From where I'm sitting it's defence that's your problem. Something we really don't need to worry about.

Good player if he gets a bit of confidence behind him. Good touch and is intelligent on the pitch.
He'll bang in a few goals with Wyness.

I appreciate the league table doesn't do our defense any favours but it's not our problem area. Although we badly need a new right-back I would still argue that scoring goals to kill off teams has been our biggest problem not just this season but probably going back as far as Paddy Flannery who was our last real goal poacher.
Looking at a league table doesn't always give a true reflection.

I know he knocked back his Livi deal but no one actually knows how much we are paying him from now until the end of the season so I dont think theres real need for the panic. Also whos to say he was trying for full time but relised he wasnt going to get a deal so hes dropped part time to put himself into the shop window for next season.

I'd agree with Jordo on this. At times we've played some great football without killing teams of by taking chances.
I dont know what sort of money he'll be on, but having left Livvy and played as a trialist for Arbroath already, I imagine he's keen to stay with a club and try to show some form to get a better deal next year (somewhere else probably).
As for us being too good to be relegated.. I think the top four just now may just march further away from the rest of us. Any team from the bottom six could go down at this point.

Celtic, Falkirk, Dumbarton, Alloa. You heard it here first!
