Not very often do i see things in football anymore that i've never seen before, but this penalty really is inventive. Has there been any other like it?

Na I would think that penalty is null and void. My understanding is that the ref has to be informed of the pk taker, all players others must remain outside the box until said kicker plays the ball.
So, this should have been disallowed...
You CAN however, pass the ball on from the spot - as demonstrated by Arsenal a few years back with hilarious results.

thats against the rules, the penalty taker must be the last person to physically touch the ball before its kicked or its a retake

Yeah, that does seem against the rules. The FIFA laws state that the kicker "must be properly identified". Although to who that is could be up for debate. If they've told the ref and that's enough then fair play to them.

The ref as probably been told that the wee man was going to take the penalty. I know this is alot different but it happened in my saturday team a few weeks ago. A boy put it down, he took his run up, which resulted in him outside the box. Another boy ran in and converted it, the ref never knew about it but he still gave the goal. The ref either didn't know the rules which I guess he didn't or it is allowed.
