No top-of -the-league team with about 30-50 fans at an away game, midweek or at any other time, deserves to be promoted anyway.

This fishing rod of mine really works a treat - most Fridays I reel in a huge catch from all walks.

And I'm stone cold sober so I'm gaining momentum with every catch.

I don't need a drink to get folk wound up on here - it's one of my trademarks. When I feel like it.. My fishing rod catches folk like you who cannot rest ubtil you have the last word - most weeks I do it. Posted Image

Then I simply move on to the next target....... Posted Image

If the boot had been on the other foot, I think that there would have been a healthy three figure number of fans through from Dumbarton for the game. That's speculation based on a hypothesis, but I think if we were at the top, the Faithful plus some would have been through to Alloa - it's only about 30 miles or so away, so although I can't prove a hypothesis, based upon our level of fidelity in good times, I would have predicted 200 - 300 travellers if the suituation had been reversed, even in midweek in temperatures of just +1 - +2 Celsius.

I have a great life, btw. Tit-baiting at the weekend is just great fun.

And if you knew me, you'd realise that I'm not actually a wierdo. But you'll never really find out for sure, will you? Not whist I hide behind my keyboard.

Superior intellect usually grinds down the weak and ineffective. You are the weakest link - now f**k off.

I didn't physically count the crowd on Tuesday, however in my estimation there were about no more than 50 present in the Away end.

I can only hope for your own sake that you're already in the latter stages of dementia, or you've input your info incorrectly.

The "superior intellect "comment was aimed at your fellow Alloa supporter who, as usual on a Friday night, rose to the bait. S/he won't be the last to do so.There is plenty of bait out there. I relish debate too!!

Edited to add: I've had enough fun tonight. I hope you enjoy your match tomorrow. Goodnight.

He didnt rise to any bait though, he highlighted the flaws in your argument and rather than then taking on his points you claimed it was a fishing trip. You still havent managed to explain the link between crowds and teams deserving promotion. Probably because there isnt one.
The superior intellect and weakest link comments were about the most cringeworthy things Ive read on here for a while, which is some achievement given number one wasp posts on all the Alloa threads (no offence meant number one wasp :P ).

I hope you enjoy your game today as well, no doubt you will be able to judge who deserves the win before kick off based on the size of each team's support.

Theres no way you lot would bring that for a midweek game. Also, you need to consider the amount of games we have coming up. Fans can't get to every game.

We can't say too much about crowds due to the poor support we get, but in a league game towards the end of last season, Sons brought about 600 to Cowdenbeath.

Pretty sure Cowden would have been the closest challengers to Dumbarton that day, results leading up to it would have been favourable, wasn't in the middle of games every sat and tues and wasn't midweek. We took a good 400+ to Raith a couple of years ago last game of the season, and that was when we were in a relegation battle. We, like most other teams in this league are capable of taking big supports to games if the circumstances are good. Last Tuesday was following a poor result on the Saturday, we have a few games coming up and the hour drive after work or whatever maybe doesn't appeal to everyone.
