Combination.

The Lite version is free...try it ;)

Got hold of the full version a few days back - it's pretty good.

I've mentioned Angry Birds a couple of times on this thread but it deserves another. There's an update out with a few extras (including a soundboard) and I've also read that there'll be a bigger update soon with tons of new levels - can't wait! :D

I was going to get this when it was free for three months but I've missed the boat now.

Is it any good? Does it work on 3G or is it WiFi only?

It's really good, and I've not experienced any buffering or lags yet which pleasantly surprised me. You can pause and rewind live sports like on Sky+ which is a tidy little feature

For £6 a month I'm not complaining and it works on both 3G and wifi, although the only time I never had a wifi connection it stopped to buffer a few times

Do you need to subscribe to regular sky sports to get this too, or is it totally independant?

Nah it's independent of that. Before you get it you need to sign up for a SkyiD number - if you already have one then you can use it, but if you don't you can just as easily register one

Thanks for that Shawfield. I'll get signed up then. I can see that being useful for me when I'm away from home.

Has anyone used voucher cloud? Some pretty good deals, and I'm sure more will be added the more popular it gets!

Dropbox is a free app that lets u save all sorts of files so you can open them anywhere. Kind of turning your iphone into a memory stick.

Also a version of Ski Free is available, although there is no monster at the end this time!

I deleted it. I thought it was a great idea in principle but it was all vouchers for pizza hut and shite like that.

There was a similar business model around about 10 years ago that sent out a text message to registered users offering discounts - it landed up a service that only offered discounted admission into pubs and clubs in the area. I know they tried to get SPL clubs to buy into it but it didn't come off.

I found another great one last night - RunKeeper. It records the distance you've run, calories burnt and your average pace. Nike+ basically, only better and for free

Just got around to getting one of these dealies, an unlocked one, and I love it to bits. The only applications I have downloaded are Facebook and Zombie Farm. Are there any other essentials? I'm thinking of getting the MLB At Bat application.

It works pretty well on 3G too. I had the Ross County match on, on Saturday whilst driving to Falkirk and it was pretty good until I hit Harthill

I found another good app tonight, almost by accident. It's called Team Viewer. It's a free VPN client. You install the programme on your home PC, initiate it, and then you can control your PC from the iPhone. I've tried it with my Sky Player account and I've been able to watch some of Pacific on it - without sound, unfortunately. I'm guessing it would also work on Sky Sports 1, 2, and 3? I also had full control of my spreadsheets and documents as well as being able to update a website that I run.

My connection dropped after around 20 minutes, and that might be because it's the free version. I'll give it a go again tomorrow and see if it's more stable.

Team Viewer also has a PC version, ie you can control you PC from another PC. I use it to log onto my home PC from work.

Surprised it was quick enough to watch tv, where you at home using it over a local network?

Also, the PC version disconnects quite frequently too, I dont think its anything to do with it being the trial version. Sometimes it does it after a few seconds, sometimes it can be fine for more than 20 minutes.

Football Manager 2010 is out now - £6.99, but great reviews, picked it up this morning and will give it a whirl when im a bit less busy, or having a dump, whichever comes first.

I've had a wee go at it from the sports fields across from the house over 3G. The picture degraded but it was still watchable. I also managed to access a spreadsheet that I needed for work, and e-mailed it to my boss. I've raised a support ticket to see if it's possible to stop the connection dropping - this time I got around 25 minutes.

Must be better than the PC version then, as I just had a go at watching an avi file and it definitely wasnt watchable!

Make sure and share if you get any tips on keeping the connection ;)
