Yeah Sky Sports is a must - also Sky Remote Record is excellent if you have a Sky+ of Sky HD box at home.
Other apps that I used pretty regularly are
ICarRadio Lite

AcuWeather
Flikr
and Sky News
I've also been watching for property on Right Move and I get push updates every morning from Metro newspapers.
My son uses the Facebook app, and a game called Doodle Jump
He also plays Traffic Rush
The SatNav thing Div recommended, CoPilot is ok - I'll use the Florida version at lot more when I'm out there I reckon.

I don't have an iPhone but I did hear of one on the radio the other week that scans a barcode of a product you want in a shop and then scours the net to find places you can buy it for cheaper, online and offline. That sounds pretty useful, but I can't remember the name of it.

The Sega Emulator is Jailbroken only as well, but the rest are apps for one and all.
There are a few good 'jailbroke only' ones like...."aTube" (which is downloading any video from youtube to your ipod which is cool. Especially when you get 4OD on youtube.

Sword and Poker is fantastic, everyone should give it a go.
Angry Birds, just finished it, was my favorite game on it.
Plants vs Zombies is great.
Streetfighter IV came out yesterday too, and its pretty sweet.

I bought GTA - China Town Wars. £5.99 and worth every penny, a great wee game. Exactly the same graphics etc as the Nintendo DS. I'm constantly playing it, on the bus, train etc on way to work.

For the iplayer,it doesn't have to be a "Jailbroke" only ipod touch. The other half has it on his and it's not been jailbroke or whatever it is.
