Apologies for the cliché in the topic description but a Motherwell win would put them 10 points above us. A margin that would probably be too much for us to close. While a win would put us back in the European race again.
I have no idea what the injury situation will be like for next week but you'd like to think we'll have a few players becak including Eggert Jonsson who'll definitely be back.
Like the United match a draw wouldn't be too bad and would keep us within touching deistance of the three teams above us. A win would be a fantastic result in the build up to the derby.

"I remember all of them, and every single one was a deliberate stab through the heart of Hibernian Football Club. Nothing against the fans but you lot have to understand that when Hibs didn't sign me, I wanted revenge. Some folk laugh at that and say: ‘What, all 27?' I suppose maybe 25 were punishment; the other two I banged in just for the hell of it."

If we win tomorrow night, we could go 13 points clear of hertz on Sat.....

I like your positivity but in my opinion Europe is done. Forgotten.
We've got Well, Hibs then Rangers next 3 games. Would happy take 4 points from these, beating the Hibs of course.
Motherwell play at StMirren midweek. If they lose we might have a chance. If they win though they will probably beat us as well.

I don't think Europe is forgotten. It is speculative aim. I'd be content with getting players back so JJ can have a look at them and for us to put in a few good quality performances in between now and the end of the season. But if we beat 'Well and then Hibs (which we will) then Europe is anything but a distant aim.
However it is a big 'if' as Saturday's match will just be tougher in my opinion than our next two home games.

Motherwell will win again, unless they are due a bad performance and we are lucky enough to be the team where it happens.
I'm not sure how much better we would be with a full squad available but this season has been an uphill struggle from the very beginning.

Hearts at Fir Park earlier this season put in the most inept performance I've seen this from an away team so far. At that point we were on the verge of the arse falling out of Gannon's team and we only won 1-0. It was the last time we won under Gannon after a good start to his period of management. We conceded 19 goals in the next seven games. We also got humped 3-0 by St. Mirren in the game before that one so really lets hope events don't start repeating themselves this week
Now we're on a good run and if Hearts came and played how they did then we should hump them but I can't see that happening. If we win it will only be by one goal, but I think this one will be a draw.

We've got our shithole of a bogey team to come first before we start thinking about Hearts, so no predictions from me till we see off the Buddies.

would like to think that we ll be the only team to keep an 100% record in the league against brown. Having jonnson and kingston back will certainly give us some much need extra quality to the midfield. Also hopeful of robinson making a return to the starting 11 as he gives defences hell with his running up front, not to mention him being arguably our best performing attacker this season. Head says loss, heart says draw.

That wasn't Brown's team you beat at Tynecastle, he was in the dugout but the team had been picked by George Young, our youth coach. Not that I'm blaming Young for our defeat.

If jefferies first game against st Johnstone counts as a defeat when he only took over on the Friday night, and darren Murray picked the team...
Then pa broon's first game in charge against hearts counts as a defeat as well

Fair doo's. But we haven't been beat in 2010 in the league, so we'll just use that one instead.
