Was looking at the Sfl fixture list earlier. And I notice that Raith rovers have got a game on every midweek from now until the end of the season.
Plus if any more games are postponed for rain frost or snow / or if Raith beat Dundee and make the Scottish Cup SF = more games to rearrange.
What will happen then???? Will the SFL extend the season by one weekend - OR will the SFL make Raith play Saturday-monday-wednesday and if so, how to justtify making another club with less of a backlog play saturday-monday or saturday-monday-wednesday - OR will leave unplayed?

We'll play Mondays if need be.
It'll be justified by the fact the games need to be played. That's a perfectly fair justifiction if you ask me.

Dunfermline boss Jim McIntyre must be at a loss to explain the succession of goalkeeping howlers he's witnessed from the frazzled Pars this season. I'm picturing a scene akin to Basil Fawlty whacking his car repeatedly with a branch after deciding "enough is enough!"

We'll play three games in a week somewhere (we've already done so once, in the cup). I think the situation would need to become quite a bit more serious and affect a lot more clubs before they'd look at extending the season.

Yep, as I said in the other thread, there's next to zero chance of the season being extended as it would cause enormous problems in terms of players being out of contract as soon as the last games are played. Also many players will have booked holidays immediately after the final games, etc.
What you could possibly do, provided two teams not involved in promotion or relegation are playing, is defer it to the same time as the playoffs. That would be after all the other league teams are finished but probably no-one would be out of contract or on holiday as they'd surely have made sure they were available for potential playoffs. A mid-table game being played slightly late (as Airdrie v St Johnstone was last season) would not be a problem. You couldn't however have teams involved in promotion or relegation playing after everyone else is finished.

Remembered this thread from while back. Looks like Raith playing Sat-Mon-Wed then, following today's well-deserved Scottish Cup progression?

Keighan Parker- ""Out of all the places I've played, the biggest crowd to noise ratio I've experienced is at Ayr." Ryan Stevenson- "I managed to play for Ayr, the team i supported as a boy" Liam Tomsett-"The fans were amazing, to come all that way up there and give us that backing. I couldn't believe the way they were carrying on- it was crazy"

I retired when I reached 10,000 posts. A reorganising of the 'post-counting system' later occurred, which someone PM'd me about last weekend, which reduced my total to 9,727. That, coupled with frustration over the mis-information on "Expand the SPL", inspired my Jesus-like

I'm a wee bit away from 10,000 posts so I think it's safe for me to post on this.
Even fully fit we have a small squad so with 2 first choice defenders out for the season it was already going to be a tough run-in and yesterday has only made things tougher. However, I think the semi-final (and final if we get there) will be all the motivation the players need to get them through.
We are not too far away from safety (wins over Morton and Ayr in the next couple of weeks would seal it I think) so some of these games will hopefully not be too crucial.
As tough as it's going to be it is totally worth it for days like yesterday and getting to a semi-final.

Airdrie game displaced by Scottish Cup SF, goes into 26th April. So... Raith's season now finishes Wed-Sun(SC)-Tue*-Sat-Wed-Sat-Mon-Wed-Sat.
*this is a re-arranged game v Airdrie Utd. Presumably Raith will apply to have it moved back a day to Wednesday to keep 2 clear days between?

Yep, our game arranged for Tuesday 27th April has been moved back to Wednesday 28th April as a result.

And if we were to contrive to finish up both in the cup final and the play-offs, which is not impossible, we might still have another five games to play in the following fortnight.
