Upgraded the Firefox browser last week and can't see/feel much of a difference.
Is anyone else using it and have they any handy hints? Tabbed browsing, etc still rawks of course. B)

I updated it as soon as it was available, absolutely no difference whatsoever!

I was using Firefox but on a couple of occasions whilst browsing my pc re-booted itself. The error report said that it was one of my drivers that had caused the pc to reboot and when I looked a bit deeper it turned out it was something to do with Firefox. I've switched back to IE for the time being and I've had no more problems. I was just getting used to tabbed browsing as well.
Is this an update to Firefox that has been released?

Yeah - it's probably more 'bug free' than the earlier development releases but then I didn't really have any problems with those versions. I've been using Firefox for so long now that I'm so used to not bothering about pop-ups that I've forgotten how annoying they are. Fortunately less enlightened friends are there to remind me

just upgraded the other day, and although it looks and feels the same it seems to have more bugs that previously.

There are definately a few change in 1.0, the Find in Page has been updated to use a tool bar at the bottom which is superb (Note handy for the competition thread when you have to search to make sure nobody has the same guess as you're about to make), and the download managers a bit better.
It's crashed a couple of times with me (and I use it all day at work), but it's still quite new so stick with it! At least when Firefox crashes it gives you a nice error, when IE crashes it usually takes out the entire OS as it's embedded some much into Windows.

You think about it, 'cause I don't have time to.

Been using it for a quite a while now.........no problems.Supposed to be a lot safer.
Firefox is proving popular because, at the moment, it has far fewer security holes than Internet Explorer and has some innovations lacking in Microsoft's program.
For instance, Firefox allows the pages of different websites to be arranged as tabs so users can switch easily between them. It blocks pop-ups, has a neat way of finding text on a page and lets you search through the pages you have browsed.
