Been a pretty feisty game so far and could easily be 3 players sent off with some of the challenges that have been flying in and Liverpool can feel slightly hard done by as Fellani could have easily been sent off as well.
So far Kyriakos has been sent off and I doubt he will be the last and I expect Liverpool will win this with a last minute goal...
It's been all Everton since the red card.

Its been a battle so far! Pienaar should have been sent off.
Good to see Mikel Arteta back in action though - a classy player who Everton have been missing.

Kuyt header from a corner makes it 1-0 to Liverpool.

And is sent off in the 95th minute for a second booking. A harsh 2nd booking it has to be said but he should have been off ages ago.
FT 1-0 to Liverpool. Deserved just for how poor Everton were against the 10 men.

Piennar ought to have been sent off in the first half, but the second was a definite yellow. Idiotic. Fellaini should also have been sent off, as arguably should have Maschereno. Something of an atavistic game, terribly officiated. Everton did nothing and deserved to lose.

Look at the foul count, look at where the bad challenges came from, and then marvel at the fact that it was the reds who were a man down for the majority of the game. Incredible offside decision against Babel as well. The response from most Liverpool players was excellent, Kuyt especially, Insua and Ngog amongst those who raised their games.

The "victims" over the piece just deserved it.

Thought Pienaar was unlucky with the second yellow.
A lot of 'blood and thunder', terrible game of football. Although I did enoy Donovan just knocking the ball past Insua and leaving him for dead. Poor, poor player.

Nothing against the fans but you lot have to understand that when Hibs didn't sign me, I wanted revenge. Some folk laugh at that and say: ‘What, all 27?' I suppose maybe 25 were punishment; the other two I banged in just for the hell of it."

That was the only moment of football the whole game - the rest of the game there wasn't any football played at all.
The ref lost it when Mascherano hadn't been booked for that first tackle. From then the tackles got worse and worse until the red card, when thankfully the players calmed down from then. Until then, you wouldn't be wrong in thinking it was going to end up 7v7.
As for the goal - i said the everton defending was bad when they were thrashed by Arsenal in the opening game of the season. That was worse.
The only "winning team" there was the medics who will earn their money.
Now for SPurs v Villa - at least that should be a good game of football (i hope).

Why wasn't Neville goal side and between Howard and Kuyt?
After a decent first half the second half of the Spurs game is pretty poor. Scrappy and sloppy with Villa resembling Wimbeldon.

Not long back. Still to see any replays of the fouls, so I hold back on my opinion at the moment.
I, along with many others, were moaning about Gerrard's corner kicks at half time. 99% of the time they are shite. Still, we all had a laugh about it in the end.

I must confess, I thought that was some kind of leg brace. What a bizarre tattoo.
Big Marion and Pienaar were both lucky to stay on in the first half when I watched it again today. No idea why Pienaar got the second yellow though.
The only big decision Atkinson got right was Kyrgiakos' red card.
By the way, I also thought Insua had a great game. The lad is making great progress considering this is his first season in the first team.

Positive it is some sort of sticky strapping for to help the joints or muscles. A lot of players seem to be wearing it now. Looks daft.

It's a struggle to find anyone that dislikes that big c**t anymore. He really is a nasty, horrible player.

Only saw the MotD highlights but the Fellaine / Kyrgiakos challenge was possibly the first time I've ever seen BOTH players deserve a red card in the same tackle. It was certainly worse from Fellaini but Kyrgiakos probably just about deserved it too.
Pienaar's early challenge was appalling and should definitely have seen straight red so I don't have a great deal of sympathy for him eventually getting sent off. There really wasn't much in the second one though. I wonder if the ref had found out at half time that he'd made a ricket with not sending him off earlier and was looking for an excuse to do so?

That could very well be what it is for - at least so that it ended 1 red card each. You could have finished the game 9 vs 9 or 8 v 8 and not complained (Kyrgiakos and Mascherano for Liverpool and Fellaini and Pienaar for Everton at the very least could have been sent off had another ref been in charge).
You could argue that the ref letting them off with things early made the amount of red cards less, and therefore a better game - or that the ref should have clamped down far earlier and the whole Fellaini stuff could have been avoided). It was plainly clear that Kyrgiakos went flying in to Fellaini because of Fellaini kicking the ball into someones face as retribution - and well Fellaini saw it, and made sure Kyrgiakos was on the receiving end too).
Is there any word on Fellaini's injury? or was it just a sham to get him off the park before something else happened?

Fellaini is an accident waiting to happen, he's a nasty piece of work. The fluffy heeded b*****d shoulda been sent off. His elbows are gonna do serious damage to some poor sod as well. Just a fucking numpty (good player though)

Big Fellaini is a fantastic player.
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

A lot of tennis players were sporting these strips during the Australian Open. It's only a matter of time before they make an appearance at Sunday/kids fitba' matches. Except the kid will probably use electrical tape!
