Looking forward to it.

Apparently we have a decent chance of scooping 2-3 golds.

Mostly looking forward to the Ice Hockey, Bobsleigh and Skiing!

You know what sports they are?

Also Scotland men are curling world champions so we could do well there if most are in team GB.

The woman's snowboard cross final from Turin 2006 is still fresh in my memory for the amazing FAIL of Lindsey Jacobellis.

The whole race lasts a couple of minutes and Ed Leigh's commentary is legendary at the end

I'm really looking forward to the Ice Hockey!!
:D
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.

What sort of squads have the Yanks and Canadians got?

Will it be made up of Minor Leaguers due to the fact there half way threw the NHL Season?

I do enjoy watching the Ice Hockey but dont follow it at all so I have no idea who is playing when watching. Also like the skating in a big circle while dressed in a condom event, especially if one person falls and takes others out.

Most of my knowledge of the Winter Olympics comes from Cool Runnings so I always enjoy of Bobsleigh Man!!!

Looking forward to the Ski Jumping, Luge, Skeleton, and of course the Ice Hockey. The atmosphere here in the pubs should be great for the Hockey. Outside of Shooting and Football (well, not anymore!) it's the only thing the Czechs are good at.

I might be forced to watch some of the Figure Skating as well. Yes...

Edit: Ghana have an entrant in the Alpine Skiing, so I'll be watching that too

Some others to watch along side the Ghanaian Snow Leopard:

Jamaica- Freestyle Skiing (Their Bobsleigh team finished 3 places outside qualification)
Morocco- Alpine Skiing
Mexico- Alpine Skiing (Their Ice Hockey team lost in qualification to spain on goals scored)
Portugal- Cross Country Skiing
Lebanon- Cross Country Skiing
Cayman Islands- Alpine Skiing
Senegal- Alpine Skiing

There are a few others with fairly awful previous perfomances that have entered more than one event.

The winter olympics are better than the summer games, mainly due to the fact that it includes hockey.

I have a feeling Russia might win it, the idea of Evgeni Malkin and Alex Ovechkin together on the same line is frightening. It's always a great competition though.
