Might be worth putting spoilers on that mate - incase people read the thread before seeing the PPV.

Wid be a bit daft tae come intae this thread and expect anything else but.

Anyway it was an enjoyable rumble and I am pleased with the winner. I reckon he will jump to Raw. Few notes.

Matt Hardys career is in freefall.

They must be getting behind R-Truth after he lobbed out Big Show and Mark Henry.

Kofi Kingston was about the most over person in there. Loud boos when he got sent packing.

CM Punk is just excellent.

Yeah, K-Kwik running into the ring and eliminating those two within seconds was the biggest shock of the night for me.

R-Truth getting a push might be the worst idea ever. He's shit. His character is shit, and it's not as if he's mega popular or anything.

The rumble match was really good. Everything else was kinda "meh" or just totally crap. It definately looks like Shawn Michaels and Triple H are on a collision course, so it makes me wonder about the Wrestlemania main events.

EDGE EDGE EDGE! :D

Wasn't expecting him to return so soon but i'm delighted he's back although i honestly felt that the further it went on, Cena was going to win it. Also it looks like Edge has returned as a face with him eliminating Jericho. I'm going to take a wild guess here and that Jericho wins the World title at the Elimination Chamber PPV and there's your match at Wrestlemania.

R Truth eliminating Big Show and Mark Henry might mean he's going to be pushed while DX and Legacy look to be on the brink of breaking up, HBK superkicking the referee was almost heel like...maybe he's going to turn his frustrations out on HHH?

Actually who cares? the Rated R Superstar is back! :thumsup2

The teaser of a heel HBK has got me reinterested in RAW again. After the HBK/HHH feuds of old, it would be quite cool to see a role reversal and have heel HBK versus a face HHH.

Good interview with Beth Pheonix following her Royal Rumble cameo last night, including this quote when asked about Chyna:

Quote

“I am WWE’s Glamazon,” she decreed. “Chyna was WWE’s Ninth Wonder of the World … mostly called so because people wondered whether she was a man or a woman. I often wonder this, myself.”

I suppose that HBK/Taker is bound to happen, as I have just realised what the main matches will probably be at Wrestlemania.

Edge vs. Chris Jericho

John Cena vs. Batista

Sheamus vs. Triple H ( piss break )

Randy Orton vs. Ted Dibiase ( possible triple threat with Cody )

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker

I'm not certain that this HBK vs Taker match will happen, i still think it's a swerve which will instead lead to an HBK vs HHH match at Wrestlemania.

The whole HHH/Michaels thing.

I'd like to see Michaels take the heel turn for a change, but HHH vs Michaels at Mania with McMahon in a heel HHH's corner and Michaels having Hart in his would make a lot more sense in the context of recent events on Raw.

GO FOR IT ADAM !

I'm almost imagining HBK vs. Taker with McMahon in HBK's corner, given the recent problems Taker had with Vince. Of course, Bret in the corner of Taker. This also takes the weight of expectation off of the guys in the ring somewhat too, as it's allowed to be a different kind of match with all of that going on.

I'd be up for the rematch in those conditions.

And that makes a mockery of the reconciliation between Michaels and Hart a month ago. Can't see it to be honest, but judging by Batista's very relaxed punches to Hart last night, there may need to be some sort of angle played out, because it does not look like the Hitman can lace them up one more time. perhaps Cena and Batista to be the main players?

Oh and on the Rumble - thought it was pretty poor to be honest as there was no big spots other than HBK and HHH, although the latter's elimination of Punk was very well executed.

Have to admit to letting out an audible awwwww when HBK was eliminated, but seen it coming as he was superkicking everyone in sight, doesnt mean i have to like it!

Too much buildup for HBK/Taker II not to happen, but what I don't get is that you have two legitimate legends, both on limited off screen schedules. One can still perform to a very high level, yet one is looking very old and in need of a rest, yet it is this legend that wwe sees fit to give the belt to on several occassions.

There has been a lot of talk of HBK retiring in the next year or so, so why not let him have a title run before he calls it quits?
