The above instructions are all that is required to get off the live updates off the ground assuming the clubs have someone at each game to carry out the updates. It may be useful to have two people versed in the process in the event that one cannot attend a match.

The next step would be to have a web page with a vidi-printer collecting all the updates and displaying them on one common web site. Maybe Youngo from Girvan could assist me with that?

I have free hosting space using ASP .NET or Coldfusion with SQL, mySQL and Access database options. It has 2GB of space and lots of bandwidth so its ideal for this purpose. Youngo - are you interested?

Any assistance required for any of the above steps, just ask - always happy to assist

Hi Papa

Thanks for the work you've put in. Looks good.

Just checked domain names and www.thejuniors.info is available.

I am happy to buy that and hand over to yourself and Youngo (if you reckon he is the man) for you to use and housekeep it.

If you can think of a better domain name happy to go with recommendations.

I'm more than happy to do what I can to help, but don't have much time before Sunday. I'm primarily a php developer, but can get by with most stuff. Will hopefully have time to get online later for a better discussion, currently making use of the mobile site!

I think the web site will take a few weeks to prepare and test - it is more important to get teams on board I think.

If anyone can develop in ColdFusion that would be great as they can utilise the web hosting I have.

Youngo I thought was a good choice as he seems to have knowledge of twitter APIs and how to gather the information in one place. But if there is a decent developer free I have no problem with who does the coding.

I will check if the hosting I have supports PHP too.

Guys

Yeti hosting does indeed support PHP.

The standard code should work in your website. We have restricted some codes due to some security reasons.

I have enlisted the help of a Rutherglen man to assist with contacting Junior clubs direct and ask them to come on board.

Youngo if you send me a DM on twitter we can arrange to speak about the web site idea. There is no great haste for this work as we need clubs on board first.

Once up and running we may be able to get some advertising or sponsorship to help with any costs that occur.

Pie Man - I will order the Domain Name and point it to the appropriate space. It shouldn't be too expensive. Dont worry about the cost. If you could assist with some advertising on the Pie and Bovril that would be great.

We must ensure that only official club news and scores etc are entered into Twitter to avoid personal views and forum like messages so anything unofficial would be verboten.

Many thanks for those who have came on board so quickly. I hope momentum gathers quickly and we can be 100% operational for the start of next season and carry out the trial work during this season.

Thanks guys. Will look at generating some advertising. For Pie & Bovril generally or this site in particular.? Either way is fine by me.

I think this is excellent as it could be the start of improving communication about the Junior game more widely and improving the service we give the punters who turn up at the games.

We have a really good product especially compared with some of the more expensive options in the 'senior' game. It is no longer just a couple of Ayrshire teams kicking lumps out of each other in the OVD cup, live on STV.

Times have moved on so let's tell people about it.

Any advertising is good no matter where it is.

I agree - I am season ticket holder at one of our senior clubs and I much prefer to watch the Juniors. This will be my last year of senior football as a season ticket holder.

Oh can Glenafton be added to "my club" i had to select other.

it is a fiver well spent:)

More and more clubs are joining us on Twitter. Many thanks for taking up the offer. I would like to thank Adam of Rutherglen for contacting many of the clubs - keep up the good work mate.

Youngo and Pie Man - we need to meet I think to discuss the web site at some point but there is no rush. Lets get clubs in and updating first.

Yes we do. Where are you guys based? I'm in Glasgow, so pretty easy to travel from and to get to.
I agree, let's concentrate on getting as many teams as possible on here first though.

Great to see so many teams joining in, I don't know Adam at all but thanks for the encouragement!

Happy to meet up in Glasgow in that suits you better. I am there at least 1 day each week thro work. Somewhere round Queen st/Central stations???

A week's warning or so would make it easier to fit in.
