Up until a month or so ago, I had a dial up connection through netbreeze. My default email through Outlook Express was also with netbreeze. After switching to broadband, I decided to keep the same email address. In fact, my netbreeze and broadband (wanadoo) emails both arrive in my Outlook Express mailbox.

However, recently I’ve been experiencing some problems connecting to Outlook Express on my home PC. It doesn’t seem to recognise my user name and password using the netbreeze server. In fact, I haven’t been able to check my emails at all this last day or two, even through the netbreeze website.

Is there a simple way to rectify this problem? Do I need to somehow delete my netbreeze server and start again with Outlook Express? I hope I have explained the situation clearly because I am certainly not a computer geek. All I know is that it has been very frustrating recently not being able to access my email through Outlook Express. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded to XP. I can't remember the exact solution, but it involved deleting a file from the registry.

My suggestion, and this is how I sorted it, is to copy the error message you're getting, and put it into google. When I did that, I was taken to a forum which answered the problem, and talked me through how to sort it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Ruggy and Robbo. Hopefully I'll be able to get the problem sorted out very soon.

Is netbreeze free?

If you've stopped using their dial-up you might find theyve de-activated your email. If your log-on details arent being recognised on their website this could well be the problem.

A quick email to their tech support should clarify

EDITED TO SAY

Of course the fact that you cant access your email could make the last suggestion a bit difficult   Oops
