Noticed that on smoe old budget games you get for the PC that if you want them to work properly you have to play about with compatibility mode in Windows Xp and set it to some setting or whatever.
Just wondering if anyone has done this to get a game to work? Was it easy and did it work in the end? One particular game I saw that mentioned this was the first C & C Red Alert game.

Sorry to report the only time I tried it (trying to get an old copy of Via Voice written for Win98 to run), not only did it not work, it b*ggered up my PC so badly I was on the verge of having to fish my recovery disk out. So be careful if you end up giving it a go.....
