What about a person who is unable to exercise due to illness or injury, such as the elderly? Are you saying that they'd be better doing nothing rather than, say, reading a book or watching a documentary, because that's only going to deteriorate their mind?

It's very sad to say that people who are unable to keep active nearly alway become depressed.
