Gonna take the plunge and go for a new console. I'm looking for some pointers as to which one to go for. From what I can gather the X-Box is a bit cheaper, but you need to pay a wee bit on top to play online and it doesn't have built in wireless. Would that be correct?

Also, what's the difference between the different 360's i.e. Elite etc?

I think i'm right in saying the Elite has HDMI inputs and a 160 gig hard drive. And it looks ace in black B)

edit: compared to your bog standard xbox, which doesn't have these things

Right, i have an Xbox. Though i do also want a PS3 for PS3 only games.

BUT

If you want one, get the 360. I know you have to pay for the online play and that but it is worth it. The set out menu is far better, the disk drive is alot better, you can watch Sky and a host of other things.The games out for the 360 are alot better than the PS3 also. Especially now that Metal Gear Solid will be coming to Xbox 360 when the new one is released!

Xbox failure rate is over 33% which means Ps3 is 150 times more reliable
You don't need to buy batteries for Ps3 controllers
Ps3 disks are much higher capacity which means much better potential for new games

Xbox is white and cheaper!
