In fairness to IdB, 80's tops were made fair bit smaller than they are today, so the XL will be a size large or medium in today's sizes, I would wager.

In all seriousness, how is your bag "lost"?
In these days of tagging and bar codes it;s much harder for it to physically disappear. I had a bag that was sent to Australia by mistake (
) which was eturned to me in Scotland within 4 days. Pre-bar codes, that bag would never have been seen again, and probably given to some musuem in Oz in about 50 years time.
