Mine's probably Final Fantasy X, had me gripped the whole way through. It was let down by an appalling sequal, though.

For the 360 it depends what kind of game I feel like playing.

For online play it has to be CoD 4.

For a shoot 'em up Gears of War is epic.

For football it's Fifa, everytime.

And for a bit of suspense filled gaming FEAR 2 is pretty good.

Actually after I posted I realised you probably meant greatest 'football' game and not 'one of the greatest games' like I initially thought.

On a side note though, I preferred Sensible Soccer (Amiga) SWOS (Amiga) and Kick off 2 (Amiga).

Best ever console game is probably GTA3, San Andreas being my fav.

Best ever ever game is DotA (Defence of the Ancients). Few people in the UK play this for some reason though it's fcuking huge in many places. Seriously takes many many months of play to get an good understanding of the fundamentals, takes a few years to actually get good, it has that much hidden depth, complexity and subtlety.
