Games are easy enough to get mate, you can download them aff torrents and then boot them to special gaming discs. As for the actual chipping mate i'd watch it because ive heard you cant play online if its chipped.

You can play online but it's a case of getting caught. I would advise buying a cheap second hand xbox and chip that. If you want to play online buy the real game for your original xbox.

1) You dont need special disks.

2) you can play online.

3) theres no chipping involved.

Got a few games today off a lad in work, just said to me if an update for the game wants to download say no. They get a patched disk or something. Seems ok so far, one of the games was a little bit jumpy but the rest I cannot notice a difference.

Theres no problem updating the games themselves mate, the only updates you have to worry about are the bi-annual ones (usually about may and then again in november), if you are going to get banned, it will be on one of these updates that gets you, theres no point not updating though, if you do, you wont be able to play online anyway, and if your console gets banned, you still can play the games, you just get that console banned from live.

The thing is, no one knows how microsoft detect who to ban, the last ban wave it was thought that saints row 2 was the culprit, a lot of people played that very early from a review copy, 3 weeks +, i stayed away and escaped on that console (the one chapsticks has now).

I now dont play anything until its launch date, but ive stopped downloading everything that comes out, just stuff i know ill play, otherwise you just end up with a huge collection of games that never get a look in.
