I'll PM you later this evening
You can play them from an SD card, but your best bet is to use a USB disc drive.

If so, I dont know. You can do it from 4, but I think its 4.0. I havent ran the latest update, and havent read anything about the new one.
I'll PM you the links to the instructions for 4 and you can have a look

Incidentally, these back ups are 100% legal and totally not downloaded from popular file sharing website rapidshare.

Err... yes there is. You can back up games as long as you own them.
If you download someone else's back up of a game you don't own, then that's illegal.
I did the first, and totally not the second.

Only in as much as I've done it. I'm happy to help out anyone trying.
Obviously, 100% legal backups, otherwise I wouldnt be discussing it on here and would be doing it via PM

Actually, no you cant, thats a myth. You would never be prosecuted for it, but you are not allowed to backup PS3, Wii, Xbox software.
Read the EULA in the packaging.

There are two Wii's in my house.
I've said all along that the Wii is worth it - if you install homebrew. Mario, Zelda, Boom Blox, Trauma Centre and Wii Sports are great games.
I don't hate the Wii or Nintendo, I just think the other consoles are much, much better.

The old way was the "Twilight" hack, which definitely doesnt work with anything other than v3.
The link I sent you was for v4, but was written before the latest update to v4.1 I would say theres a good chance it will work, but then its not my Wii Im risking
edited to add - just read some of the latest comments on the page I sent you the link for. There are people on there saying that it does work with v4.1. Also, it would seem that if, like me, you "hacked" v4.0, upgrading to 4.1 wont break anything

My wii is properly chipped though, not twilight hacked, although i do remember doing some sort of twilight thing to get the wiiware stuff working.

Aah. I knew you had a chipped Wii, but when you were asking about this, I just presumed you'd got another one that wasnt chipped and you wanted to do this instead.
I dont think the fact that its chipped will make any difference, if you follow those instructions you should end up with the USB GX Loader channel and be able to use a USB drive - or install NeoGamma and use an SD card.
