I was in town earlier and nowhere was selling this as a standalone game without the Motion Plus.

There's no way I'm paying 40 odd quid for that.

Depends what you like. I tihnk "hardcore gamers" would prefer a 360 but I prefer a bit of fun and playing with my mates and the wii does the trick for me. At the end of the day I find things like the PS3/360 a bit boring, I mean the Playstation has been about for about 15 years and its practically the same, the only difference is that the games look a bit nicer. Before when you went from a snes to an N64 or a playstation to a PS2 the jump in graphics really did impress, now its not enough for me to care. I'd get a Wii, get a few pals round and a few beers and its a good night in but if you're up for playing on your own for hours at a time a 360 might be better as sometimes the wii doesn't feel that good when you're playing by yourself

I only ever play games when mates are round, but then both of them had Wii's and never used them, but thenthey only tried the very basic games as apposed to the good ones that aer out now, will see though, because I dont see the point in an Xbox when all I have to do is walk 200 yards to my mates house and have so much more fun than on my own.

Also I am extremely busy with school work after the holidays and wont really have that much time to play online on an xbox, which would be the major reason i would buy one, whereas the Wii is a bit of fun and quite stress releaving.

Justr a quick question if you get Wii how high does you rTV have to be off the ground for it to really work and is it still alright on a TV that is only about 25 inches.

Not 100% sure but don't think it works without the Motion Plus.

At first i was excited about the bowling being present, but it seems different from the original. I cant put my finger on what it is. I also cant seem to get spin like i used to

I really like the fencing one. although i dont really play it like its fencing, my tactics are more to swing it about like a big stick.

frisbee is good too.

I have so far only played those three games

They have tried to make the bowling more realistic by using the motion plus, so what worked in the original will not work in the new version.....its the same with the golf.

So far the swordfighting and archery have stood out for me and the flying its alot of fun (managed to find all 80 check points last week)

Started to really get into the cycling as well yesterday!

Wii sports resort is the most i have played my wii since Mario Kart.
