Did my "big shop" in Iceland last week so just working my way through this.
Yesterdays macaroni was rank.watery cheese sauce made it a chore to eat and i thought i wasnt going to manage it all.
tonight i plumped for a Fray Bentos steak and kidney pie. It must be twenty years since i had one of these. possibly taken out the oven a bit early. Pastry looked nicely puffed and golden but by the time i grabbed a fork and turned around it had flopped down into the tin again.
Tasty enough, couple of nice chunks of steak and few small bits of kidney.
think i will wash out the tin and use it as a bird bath
Who the f**k am i even talking to??
