Some unholy crap in there like the woeful Yoshi's Story, the hideous Mario 64 and the ridiculous RPG which was released in Japan/USA.

This is the site the image is from.. http://limitbreak.gameriot.com/blogs/Cavea. ..rio-Family-Line ..and the lad goes on to say how it's not a proper family tree as it would end up huge.

Personally I think it's a perfect example why Nintendo are nothing but one trick ponies who have been fleecing kids for years.

Pointless trivia, Nintendo translates to English as "leave luck to heaven".

Mario 64 was quality. But by jove Nintendo are getting their money out of him!

Mario Kart 64 was immense as well.

They're bringing out a Mario Galaxy 2, as a wise man said it's an expansion pack that walks like a sequal.

Mario Kart on the N64 was easily the best Mario game I ever played. I was never overly convinced by SMB as there were better platform games out for computers.

Not played Mario Galaxy, but then it's on the Wii so it's obviously aimed at the pre-teen and toddler market.. ;)

Bite? None of that was fishing, it's all true. Nintendo do flog Mario mercilessly (admittedly with more luck than SEGA with Sonic) and the Wii is the most popular console with pre-teens.

Mario Kart 64 was the best in that series in my humble opinion. I played the Wii Version and it's absolutely shite.

Well one of you are wrong, perhaps SM's judgement of games (and consoles) is poor.. who can tell? ;)

Neither of us are 'wrong'. One prefers the Wii version, one doesn't. Simple as that.

As for the Mario Kart debate, the N64 version is historically the better, obviously the wii version is better if you run them side by side, but really offered nothing new for mario kart, nothing new has really been added since the N64 version.

No Smash Bros?

Also, his family tree should have the Paper Mario games descending from the (fantastic) Mario RPG.
