Consider it boycotted.

No, no it isn't.

I played Prince of Persia recently. It was better than anything I've played on Wii, and only cost me £14.

Activision are mental if they think they'll get the same sales as COD4 with a £55 price tag.

This has nothing to do with next gen game costs, otherwise the prices would raised in North America as well. This is greed.

Sorry, I just assumed that, as a Wii fanboy, you were implying this was a 360/PS3 problem seeing as the Wii isn't really next gen.

I think given the circumstances and the high quality, longevity of the game, £55 isn't that bad at all.

The game will keep you going for months but if you can't afford it don't buy it. I'm pretty sure that people will find the money from somewhere though.

I thought people played computer games to relax a bit, not wave their arms about like an air-traffic controller covered in beetles.

No they're not. They are poorer in every single department, apart from one.

They have the best Nintendo games.

Play a game to relax?

You must play different games to me, as very few of the games I have ever played in my lifetime are relaxing.

£55 ma baws.

If anyone seriously expects that this will only be available for £55, pre-order it now for less than £45 (delivered) at any one of many websites.

Well, slowly Activision are starting to piss people off. Funny how Kotick was getting ripped into the PS3 for the price. You have to remember though, this was the guy that said they should have charged $100 for the game due to the online play. Luckily online play is free on the PS3.

It IS that bad. There will have been better games in the pas that have gone for the normal £40-odd, and games which have been shamefully ignored that go for £15-20 (The Orange Box, for example. On of the best game sets ever made. Buy it. ASAP. Tomorrow, or maybe Saturday if you have to). This is a cash-in on the obvious high demand, it's going to be the biggest selling game of recent years and they know that so they're going to try and rake in as much as humanly possible from it.

If you know anything about games you'd know how very, very, very, very wrong you are. It is an abhorration of a console. I owned one for 18 months and in that time maybe 3 "top class" games came out. I've had a 360 for 12 months and currently each and every one of my games is better than the tripe I had on the Wii, and I had the games widely acknowledged to be the best. Metroid Prime 3, PES2009, LoZ: Twilight Princess. Other than them, almost every other game is and abysmal cash-cow mini-game compendium. How many times have you seen an advert for a Wii game that is for an ACTUAL game as opposed to some dire-mini-game collection. It is a cash-in on the blind muppets who happily pay £30 for a game in which you pretend you're at the funfair, or a game which simulates playing darts. It's a good tech demo, but only a madman would call it a game console.

Wii's are awful, awful things.
