Bought it today but I'm busy this week and will no doubt need some practice first.

Just finished the PGA tournament I was playing alongside the Pros in the States.
Finished -22, and I'm now watching the end of the tournament on Eurosport to see if anyone can beat it. The leader there is on -17 right now.
I'm annoyed though, I chipped in at the last for a birdie, but the 'Out of Bounds' message came up instead and it only gave me a par, so I should have been -23 for the four rounds. If I lose by one stroke, I'll no' be happy!

That's over four rounds, ya muppet!
I'm at that great stage with a Tiger Woods game, where I'm good enough to shoot realistic scores, but not that good that I'm hitting sub 50 rounds.

I know!
Are you playing as existing pros, or have you started a career?

Started a career, but I've not really played much of it. I usually just play the daily, weekly, or play the pros online tournaments. Or a friendly game online.
I purchased one of the funny suit packs, so I have max stats for my character for when I play online, as I usually play with the advanced swing settings which takes away spin control, putt preview, and manual draw/fade. That coupled with the good stats gives me a great balance with realistic driving distances, etc, whilst still being a challenge relying totally on how you swing the 'club'.

Ah, I see. Total opposite to me then, all Ive played is a career with the lowest of the low in stats

Whenever I go back to the career, I take my 'magic suit' off, and revert back to my crappy stats.
The only real difference is the distances you get with the clubs. Everything else is controlled by how well you swing the wii-mote.

Steve Stricker won the tournament in the USA on -20, so my -22 was good enough for the win!!
As they have Turnberry in the game, I'm hoping their event this week is the Open, rather than the PGA tour event in Milwaukee.

I'll give someone a game of this at some point this week if they want, as long as they don't use that suit you can buy because Im not very good and I don't have one. I begrudge spending £30 on a game then having to buy extra stuff for it.

Aye, I know what you mean. Only reason I got it was I had around 500 Wii points I didn't know I had.
I'll be up for a game of this sometime. I won't be here tomorrow night, but should be available on Wednesday. And I'll take the bunny suit off.

Just go to the section where you buy your clothes, and one of the options is 'fantasy items' or something. You can buy a 'fantasy pack' for about 350 points. Gives you 5 suits you can wear, each one giving you full stats.

Why did you quit?
By the way, I never realised you were going to be playing with a tour player, I thought you had your own character, that's why I went back to my own character with poor stats.
I think next time I'll turn the precision putting on too.
What settings do you play with?

I didnt quit, you did!
Sorry about that, tbh I haven't played the tour at all (Ive played the game about 3 times) so I didn't have an option. If I'd known you were going someone shit I would've steered clear of vijay.
Again, Im not sure about settings, just the default ones?
Btw, that was by far the best I've ever played so am gutted it finished early

Not me chief, was lining up a birdie putt and it went off, and when I looked for you, it said you were offline!
A rematch? I'll go my good character this time. Not that it'll make much difference, my scoring was pretty similar anyway.
The way you were hitting the balls dead straight, it looks like you might be on the All Play setting, especially if you're new on it. I always play on the advanced setting now, so the ball will hook and slice depending how I swing the club.

Yeah, I signed off after
I'll give you another game, but make it match play cos I can't be arsed with another 18.
I don't actually know how all play and advanced work but I know I use precision putting because I tried classic and couldnt do it at all
