Standby Problem A problem with standby Rate Topic: -----

How come when I switch my computer to standby, it three-quarters shuts down and won't log restart when I move the mouse or press a random button? The only way I can restart the computer is by switching it off and then switching it back on again at the mains. Are there different settings for standby, and is there anyway to sort this? Cheers for any help.
