Recently got myself a Sonly Alpha 200 DSLR camera with a 18-70mm lens and took it out for a wee run last night...just wondering if there are any other amateur photographers out there in.

Pretty good efforts there sir. I've got a few photo's on Flickr (Link in my sig) if you fancy a look at them.

Edit: Forgot to mention my photo's are taken using a Canon EOS 400D with either the standard 18-55mm kit lens that comes with it or the Canon 55-250mm IS lens.

In a Pavolvian way my mind registered 'amatuer' and 'photography' and I instantly clicked on here.....

....what a disappointment!
Here is a box, a musical box, wound up and ready to play. But this box can hide a secret inside. Can you guess what is in it today?"

Have been an amateur photographer of football for years now. Never considered taking photos of things outside a football ground for some reason.

Good photo's mate. I particularly like the 'late challenge' 1st one (Ouch! :( ) and the lardy keeper in the last!

I know, I'm surprised to see Moby playing football in Scotland too. Thought he'd be at a higher level.

No. Nor the three before it, or the two after it.

In his defence (and looking at the squad, it's his only one) he usually keeps the score down.

Thanks, it was my first time correcting the shutter speed and all other settings, and got a good result, although will head out there latter on in the week hopefully with a tripod to get the rocks more clearler but have the same affect with the water...theres also another few (count20) that did not come out as hoped which need to be redone.

Fantastic, mate. Although as an ex-keeper myself, I think he did a great job and it's always easy to make the last man look stupid when your defenders are as much use as a chocolate fireguard! <_<

Hats off to the big man - respect! :)

I think the keeper might post on here. He's an Elgin fan.

I have some average efforts, sadly none are a patch on some of those already posted. This is partly down to me having a very basic 6 mega-pixle camera which I have had about 4 or 5 years now! I might buy a new (far superior) one or put it on my list to Santa. I really want to get quite good at photography.
