This was just Horrific.
Thoughts go out to his family, friends and fellow dumbarton footballers.

A fine player, a good ambassador for Dumbarton FC and a nice man who went out of his way to talk to supporters. He carried the responsibility of being captain of the Sons with great aplomb.
Sincere condolences to his partner Kelly, wee Kai and all of Gordon's family.

Guido was a Govan lad and got to know him through Harmony Row. He was also a few years above me in School... Such a sound lad tae...
Absolutely gutted to hear this, especially on the back of hearing another lad who went to school with us died last weekend from a brain aunerism. 2 good guys in 1 week...
RIP Guido...

When I came up from England recently for a regular visit I attended the Berwick game which we won 2-0. I said in my sum up on P&B at the time that we were lucky to have such an athletic, powerful and clever player, one could easily play at a higher level.
Very, very sad for his family and friends and one of those tragedies that goes beyond football.

Hope Dumbarton and Thistle can sort out a tribute match. Sounds like he would deserve it. Gutting for his family as well.

He is held in such high regard by everyone they could probably sell it out twice over though.

Just like to echo the sentiments on here. Never seen him play but by all accounts he would have probably moved on to a higher level in the next year or two. However as always in tragedies like this the people who know him first and foremonst recognise a gem of a guy who merely had a talent at football.
Football can cope without great players but its all together different when the world loses a great person. R.I.P

I'd definately be there! If this happens - the match in aid for his family - 1 bus (minimum) would be full of Stenny fans

I have known Guido for 10+ years and even though he was a few years older than me he would always come and talk to me and play footy with me when he could easily have ignored me and went and hung out with his mates.
I remember when i was about 14 our local churc had a car boot sale and he swindled me into buying a pair of Ice Skates. I didn't skate at all so my dad wasn't to happy but we had to laugh when we found out they were a pair of Figure skates.
I would definantly go if the proceedings go to Gordons family.
R.I.P Guido you will be sadly missed.

I would hope that this could be arranged. A fitting tribute for the great guy he was.
The big man will always be remembered as a sons legend.
