Has anyone managed to do the Tiger Woods putt on the second challenge? I have tried six times to do it and gave up in the end,it's far too hard.(Well for me it is.
)
11.09.10. Like falling leaves the years slip by, but loving memories never die.

I managed it but only after about six or seven times. Theres actually a different line you can take which is more direct than the crazy wide line that Tiger takes. I think I got a bit jammy with my way though
. I quite like the putting in this game now. Once you get used to it, you can sink some amazing long range ones.

There's no need for another Tiger Woods game right now other than to line EA's pockets. The 09 version is the best golf game I've ever played. Within a few weeks of this new one being out, there'll be no-one left to play online on '09.
I'll probably get this for the Wii though, be interesting to see if Motion Plus makes a discernable difference.

The putting was far too easy on the last one. I reckon Tiger Woods games a whole are usually far too easy. The only thing that makes it harder is taking the spin off but that defeats the purpose of most shots.

Got Tiger Woods 10 on the Wii (but don't have motion plus).
I think it's superb. FAR better than the last release. Putting is much, much better - pretty realistic. The Wii must be the best format to play it on, since you're actually swinging the club. My mate says the motion plus just makes it ridiculously difficult, beyond realistic. He just plays without it now.
Took a bit getting used to, but have now got my average down to a 62
.
Takes its toll on you if you play 72 holes one round after the other. My muscles were aching the next day

Ive not been overly impressed with motion plus so far, on tennis i cant really notice it at all, pretty unresponsive, it works okay on tiger woods, but i dont know that its much different from without it, id need to unplug it and see.
Wii sports 2 does the best job, particularly on a few events.

I find you have to be a lot more accurate on the swing with Motion Plus, otherwise you slice or fade the ball quite badly. The putting feels more responsive, too.

You wont get the 1:1 movement of the club without the motion plus. It makes a huge difference

How does it?
Because one of the hardest and most fundemantal things about being a professional golfer is learning to control the spin of the ball and I feel it should be incorperated into the game.

If you play it on the advanced setting with the Motion Plus, the way you swing the club affects the amount of spin, although not as much as when you can do it manually, but I think it makes the game too easy.
In fact, I never use any of the help aids now. I never use the putt preview, as it's all down to how you control the Wii-mote where your putt goes. This is a huge improvement for me, as in the 360 version, it's extremely difficult to accurately read the greens, and try and control the speed without the preview being on.

Really?
Have you tried standing to take a shot and just slowly raising the club back and lowering it again and watching whats happening on the screen? If that isnt 1:1 then I dont know what is?!?

It's only "in-flight" spin control you're turning off though. You can still set up to put spin on the ball before you hit it.

I like the 'Play the Pros' game where you compete against real life pros on the PGA Tour.
The daily and weekly tournaments are impossible as people manage outrageous scores (sometimes close to one hundred under par after 4 rounds for example), but the Pros scores are about the same level as I am, so I can compete better.
I also like the way it's on the advanced settings, so it's a proper test.

Just turned 'Pro' today.
Wishing I hadn't set my options at a full 4 rounds per tournament.
What is that Wolf Creek course all about ?? Madness. I can't believe it's an actual course.

They used to put fantasy courses in Tiger Woods game. I remember the impossible one in the Highlands in the 04 game. I thought Wolf Creek was another of those at first. It's an absolute beast of a course.

Aye, I assumed it was a fantasy course too. Couldn't believe it when I saw it on youtube. Must be some trek playing that course.

04 was the last time I bought Tiger Woods mainly as I think it's great. Still play it quite alot if I ever do play the PS2. That course was indeed a beast. The last hole which is a par 5 I think is mental.
Hello down there!
