Looking forward to watching the Magic again this season, don't have ESPN so will have to make due with NBA TV. Hopefully the addition of Vince Carter will take a bit of pressure off Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson and the Magic will have another trip to the NBA Finals.
Have always been a huge fan of Vince after his 2000 Slam Dunk performance and no one will ever come close to the performance he put on that night, no one.

Ooft, that is something else. Near fell off my seat when I saw the last dunk - out of this WORLD.
What is my perfect crime? I break into Tiffany's at midnight. Do I go for the vault? No. I go for the chandelier - it's priceless. As I'm taking it down a woman catches me. She tells me to stop. It's her father's business. She's Tiffany. I say 'no'. We make love all night. In the morning the cops come and I escape in one of their uniforms. I tell her to meet me in Mexico, but I go to Canada. I don't trust her. Besides, I like the cold. Thirty years later I get a postcard. I have a son and he's the chief of police. This is where the story gets interesting: I tell Tiffany to meet me in Paris, by the Trocadero - she's been waiting for me all these years; she's never taken another lover. I don't care, I don't show up. I go to Berlin. That's where I stash the chandelier.

This sorta thing you're looking for? $100 for a full season doesn't sound that bad tbh - £60 is decent value for the cheapest option. £90 for the top range one too.

Does it show extended highlights or reruns of whole games at decent times ie not waiting up all night.

Aye, fwiw I watch the highlights on the NBA website most days to keep up to date with the going ons. Sometimes tape the full matches on ESPN too if I've got enough time.

What does everyone make of this retiring the no.23 from the NBA from James? Just as soon as he wants to drop it (probably due to him not going to be able to get it at NY next year) everyone else is expected to do it as well? I don't know, something a bit false and arse-licking involved if you ask me - obviously it's a massive compliment for Jordan but I don't agree with it.

I'd imagine they'll retire it however.

Its a strong possibility that they will retire the number. I think its because the NHL retired Wayne Gretzky's No 99. Personally, I think it should just be the teams retiring numbers. I think LeBrons changing his No.23 to a No.6 so the league can retire his number (forward thinking from the big man) when he hangs up his Nike's.

I remember watching this at the time and bacame an instant fan, best slam dunks I've ever seen!

Personally I'm a Knicks fan, really hope the rumours about James is true, also heard Iverson may be joining them soon :D

I grew up playing in the girls team at school (One that we started!) and watching it on Channel 4 so Jordan is a big hero of mine as the bulls were on top at the time. Delighted when I found out ESPN were going to give it good coverage this season, watched a couple of games so far, would like to see the Cavs win it I think.

The were lots of talks about James moving to New Jersey a few years ago with Jay-Z (the owner of NJ Nets) being a good friend of his and all. First I've ever of a move from the Knicks for Lebron.

Jay-Z strolled onto the court after the NY-Cavs game and was talking to LeBron quite the thing. I'm pretty sure LeBron'll be signing for the Knicks next summer, and as a result of all the media coverage surrounding the move he's refusng to talk about moving from the Cavs.

Just watched the Celtics v N.Y.Knicks on the comp with a Kevin Garnett buzzer beater ending a thriller in O.T 107-105. Absolutely brilliant game. God I love basketball, so much better than this pishy football game we all profess to love. Maybe its because Killie are rank rotten at the moment Im feeling this way, then again I still get a bigger buzz watching the Glasgow Rocks than Killie any day. Rant over.

Who's got the best record in the league at the moment? I'm saying a Cavs vs Magic ECF and a Lakers vs Spurs WCF and the Magic beating the Lakers in the finals. Magic will take revenge!!!

Heat Vs. Lakers tonight, worth staying up for?
It's getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better. I've been drowning too long to believe that the tide is going to turn. And I've been living too hard to believe things are going to get easier now. I'm still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I've learned. And if I see Van Helsing, I swear to the lord I will slay him. AHA HA HA. He take you from me but I swear I won't let it be so. AHA HA HA. Blood, will run done his face, when he is decapitated AH! His head on my mantle is how I will let this world know...how much I love you.
Die, die, die....I can't

Excellent defense by Wade it must be said. Couldn't have done anything more than he did but that's just Kobe for you.

It is indeed. Not sure when the next match is - if it's a live one you're wanting to catch it'll be late night/early morning, but I often tape the re-rens the next day and skim through them.

Just back from the Kelvin Hall where the Glasgow Rocks beat Worthing Thunder 103 - 85 in a thriller of a game. The Rocks were on fire in this end to end, run and gun of a shoot out, an absolutely brilliant game.

SO much better than freezing your bollox of at a boring football match. Get yourself along next week when the Rocks will be hosting the current league leaders the Sheffield Sharks. With 4 wins on the trot after a few early season hic-ups this game should see if the Rocks are contenders in the BBL championship.

How are they doing this year? I used to go along and watch them on a Sunday at the Braehead Arena, when they were the Scottish Rocks, I even went down to Newcastle to support them in the play-offs, but haven't been able to this past couple of years as my Rugby team plays on a Sunday. Am I right in saying they didn't get off to the best of starts this year?

A lack of players hampered the start of the season. Jesse Sapp and Rob Yanders are probably two of the best guards in the BBL. These americans are quick ,athletic and can spray 3 pointers effortlessly, very exciting players. Forwards consist of scotsman Gareth Murray and a trio of 6'7" americans Mike Copeland, Michael Crowell and player/coach Sterling Davis. Sixth man is british virgin islander Steve Parillon and a couple of OK scots guards make up the 9 man team (the smallest still in the BBL). A imposing center is still badly needed but with 4 wins out of the last 5 games things are looking promising for the rest of the season, so heres hoping.

Rob Yanders is a fantastic player, definitely one of the top 5 players in the BBL, IMO. Has Gareth improved over the last couple of years, when I watched them he was just starting to cement a place as a starting forward?
